I think that this looks like it will be a lot of fun to watch.

I wouldn't quite call that steampunk, pseudo-steampunk to say the least. But yeah for a steampunk movie to be good it would need such a huge budget... aside from a good script, etc.

As far as this movie goes, I think it could be fun to watch if they don't take it seriously, but we'll see I guess

steamboy was the one of the most bland plots i've seen in an anime. like Roland Emmerich directed it.

There's also a steampunk anime called "Last Exile" that's pretty cool. More like pseudo-steampunk though. They have it on netflix instant watch if anyone gives a shit

And that Sherlock Holmes movie from last year. I am not a steampunk connoisseur so I don't know how many of these would actually count.
Then there were ones that were just okay like that Sky Captain movie, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Vidocq and Wild Wild West.
