No, it's not an original. It's the opening for an anime sung by Kiyoura Natsumi. It was originally in Japanese, but my friend Christine created English lyrics for it a few years back.

Working on an audio submission for robot day on NG. I just "finished" the introduction, which you can listen to below. I'm hoping people can visualize what may be going on in this scene. Official title for this is "Seek and Destroy" it's a very original title so plz don't steal!!!

Oh, and it'd be best to listen to this with headphones--maybe turn down the volume too.

Okay something not so useless for the new year!

As some of you may know, a month ago I watched Cowboy bebop for the very first time. I wish it hadn't taken me so long to have finally, though. Anyway, I fell in love with the ending song titled "The Real Folk Blues" and wanted to do an English cover of it , but there was no instrumental/backing track available. I was so desperate to sing it that I commissioned a new friend of mine to make a backing track for it. He did an amazing job on it, and it was well worth the money. He offered to mix the song for me if I gave him the vocals and a few days ago he sent me the rough version of the mix.

This is just a rough though. My friend and I both agreed that we would do everything over again in a week or two, so I'll be re-singing it and having someone else help me with back-up vocals for the chorus! I'll post the final version whenever we're both satisfied with the results. I was a little nervous about this because I'd never sang so low before.

are those the original lyrics? i guess it's been so long since i've heard it i didn't recognize the verses. anyway, it sounds great! it'd be cool to hear more stuff like this. you should do the opening to magic knights rayearth

@rtil: The original song is in Japanese, so a friend of mine adapted them based on English translations. I don't believe there is an official English version of the song. As for the Magic Knight Rayearth OP, it sounds pretty but I'm scared I won't be able to hit some of those high notes. But I'll give it a shot!
