Let me tell you something, Halo 3 revolutionized the entire FPS genre. Without it, there wouldn't be Doom, or Wolfenstein, or Marathon, or Gears of War. You really have to appreciate how nostalgic this game is to gamers across the USA. It's an instant classic and should forever be regarded as the game that started it all.

although influenced by halo 3, gears of war created a vast new world for players to explore, taking 3rd person shooters to the next level with its cover system no one has EVER thought of. the games touching story will be remembered as a groundbreaking new way to tell stories. i dont want to give anything away, but let me just say i shed many tears
