Flash cs5

let's not forget that the brush tool is not used by a majority of flash developers - even most animated material utilizes assets done in other applications or in flash made entirely using vector shapes and lines . no one should really be surprised if it hasn't changed. flash has always been touted as a web design and application tool.

what i'd like to see is improvements on the symbol spray tool. it needed more options to make it really useful.

Ok, but any improvements on the 3d tools and their possibilities?
Like actually making it possible to create 3 dimensional objects instead of -for instance- just a cube whose side's order on the z-axis is based on their layer position which makes it impossible to spin it without having the top layer's content permanently covering everything behind it, even if ththe other layer's contents are located before it on the z axis due to the ongoing spin?
Also, did they improve the 3d system in general as adding a special view, containing one window for each perspective, namely z and x, x and y, y and z and an overall view (as in 3d Studio Max) plus new tools for geometric shapes as a cube or a ball? Because without these features, the new dimension in cs3 was pretty useless...

CS3 is probably the most I'll go. I dont trust CS4 or 5, that might be because I have 0.99 gigs and run a shitty XP. God I suck.

i can't tell you how many times i've said flash cs4 was an absolute disaster. but in the real world, where you clearly don't live and don't understand, technology is always evolving. at certain points, studios and developers have to upgrade their software to adapt with its surrounding environments. sometimes it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss - but at some point you have to deal with the cards that were handed to you. bugs in software is an every day part of working in digital art and game design, you just have to backup your work in case something fails. hardware and software are not always perfect and they can conflict with eachother at the most inconvenient times.

when working alone it's easy to stick with some ancient piece of software that suits your limited needs. but when you're working with other people, it just doesn't work that way. i understand this is impossible for you to comprehend, but someday you might know what i mean if you actually start to work in this field.

TBH, I really dislike Flash 8's interface but I like CS4's interface because it's more similar to Photoshop. >_> However, the most complex thing I have ever animated is a goddamn boat so my opinion is irrelevant. <_< ...I guess ImageShack removed it so I'll just reshow it in this thread.



I wish I had the motivation to make flash movies. I also wish I had the motivation to do a lot of things like make fangames, get decent with the keyboard, do sound editing more often, etc, but I'm lazy. >_>

flash cs5 has been nice so far, but has anyone else noticed when working with cs4 files, you can't preview frames on the main timeline with the red line cursor? (like when scrolling ahead)

or is that just me


photoshop cs5 is nice too but the 3d brushes can really, really lag after a few minutes of use. or even just enlarging the size. maybe i have to upgrade my memory again. even though i just barely did. a few months ago. for cs4.
