his idiocy is funny. We're not devoting much time to thinking it's funny, because it's insignificant, but I can find something funny and see it as something that doesn't matter at the same time. It's probably stage fright, or the excitement of being in europe or the initial confusion from his accent that threw him off (even though he showed the word germany to him in print), but seeing stuff played out like this can still be entertaining to some people. Misrepresented or not, it's still something that has at least a bit of entertaining value.

some people like talking about celebrities and think its interesting. just like you think philosophy is interesting.

celebrities aren't important. philosophy can at least be applied to real life since it deals with ethics and lots of questions that humans have been interested in for thousands of years. celebrities are just regular people who are maybe a little more attractive or talented in certain areas than the average person who are subsequently put on a higher pedestal than other people for no good reason.

being famous and having people know hwo you are is fine there's nothing wrong with that, it's when people care about your personal life and all of your relationships and everything you say and everything you buy and your religious beliefs and every other aspect of your life just because your famous.

so no it's not the same thing
