hfjdfhjfhgrounds folks sent me a new tablet, having a little trouble getting used to the larger size

this is a wip of a potential bg




what do you think of photoshop backgrounds in flashes? I hate drawing in flash so I usually do all of my backgrounds in a different program, but I always feel like the brushwork feels out of place behind the animation

Does the quality of the background change when you import it from photoshop to flash?

workin on this, are there any elements that look horrible/ out of place? the white borders maybe?

also I think most backgrounds made in photoshop can look ok in flash as long as the artwork/outlines in the flash look somewhat similar.

having never done a photoshop background this probably doesnt mean a lot coming from me, but Ive seen cartoons where it does work

yeah whereas a well defined sketch and plan for laying down paint are necessary to avoid wasting supplies in trad mediums, digital art really gives you a lot of room to experiment with virtually no repercussions. i like working from loose, messy initial sketches and watching the picture transform along the way
