i dont know
i found the way stan said 'yeah' right after the long bleeped out speech to be a bit weird and out of place if it wasnt bleeped out on purpose
is there any chance that all this stuff about comedy central censoring so much of the episode is a big prank?
if so i guess its not a very good or elaborate prank so maybe this is just wishful thinking

put

was that a killing joke reference? awesome

retrosmash

this whole situation

entirely asinine

rtil

i don't see why matt and trey would lie to their millions of fans as a prank? comedy central has censored images of muhammed in the past

That "yeah" wasn't out of place at all, although a lot of people would think so. That "yeah" sounded exactly like the "yeah" that stan says in the spirit of christmas, and since Santa/Jesus said something before him, and those two were fighting in the spirit of Christmas, it would make sense.

Casey Pixmintro

Yeah he even did the same head-tilt haha

Both 200 and 201 were filled with nostalgia, so that's definitely why Stan said "yeah" in that way. Also, I got sick of waiting for the episode to get on Comedy Central's website so I pirated it and I have to say, Comedy Central should go fuck themselves for their extreme censorship. >_> Also, Pip's first major appearance since season 7 was hilarious.

rtil

oh yeah that reminds me

pip's dead

Alright, so i just saw an article in a german newspaper, i will try to summarize the gist of it in English

Basically, the title was "The terrorists have won again" and it was about how the episodes 200 and 201 will never air again, anywhere. With anywhere, i mean that they won't be subbed or dubbed for any country either. So if you have happened to watch those episodes on TV consider yourself lucky, because it was the first and last time that they will be officially shown anywhere. They won't go online either (officially, that is!), and the episode best friends forever (season 5) was taken off the internet as well and will never be aired on TV anywhere again either.

This is basically what the article says and as i read it i was like "wow". This is the first time I have read anything in the newspapers about south park, to be honest. And then this. I really wonder if the episodes will be on the DVDs or not, I sure hope so but i kind of doubt it. It's ironic how comedy central caved in (as would have any other tv station though, i'm sure) and let that happen, what those episodes, the second one especially, criticizes.

it's just stupid
i hope that they will change their mind though. everyone who is in charge of mtv/comedy cental (which i think would be either viacom europe or viacom germany (<-if that exist)) agrees with the episode's message, but they said security has to be the top priority.

So now, the freedom of speech is worth nothing anymore. Without even having to do anything violent, by just saying "this is a warning, do not do it or you might end up dead", you can get any TV station to pull episodes apparently.

retrosmash

wow, seriously?  how fucking stupid.

I seriously hope the creators of South Park retaliate against Comedy Central. Maybe they should threaten Comedy Central about the idea of them ending the show if they don't reair the episode without most of the censorship.

DrRumack

if i were trey and matt i would just leave by this point

it's embarassing how easily "the free world" caves in to violent threats from stone age religions demanding respect for their imaginary sky gods

we can't be told when and when not to laugh at something. everything is open game - that's the beauty of free speech. or at least it should be

it wasn't even a threat. Apparently revolution Muslim is just a website where some muslim bloggers go, they didn't threaten south park all they said that this might turn out like the theo van gogh incident.

which already seems to be enough for a network to cave in

rtil

it might have not been a direct threat, but they showed a picture of theo van gogh's dead body, and gave out south park studios' address. it was more of a call to others to make threats. the site didn't get shut down for nothing

im not sure if the site got shut down by anyone. As far as i know 4chan ddos'd the website a shitload, and the people who are in charge of that website eventually decided to shut it down.
i might be wrong there though.
