i just read it entirely and I found it really depressing BUT also very entertaining and hilarious in a bitter way.

I rarely ever get to be in touch with african american students but there are quite a few of them at my uni and most of them are ok dudes who most of the time mix in with the rest of the people very well.

Still I imagine public schools in u.s.a must be very different, specially a predominantly black school. I would probably try to get out of the place right away if it is as that teacher describes.

Aidionally, I can imagine it must be pretty spirit-shattering and frustrating to be a teacher and not feel like you are making any difference  in your students and they are not listening to you.

also lmfao at the part about the mexicans

i agree as well, but how many successfull people do you think there are who are willing to take care of all these children? who says that this new system will prevent bad parents from having kids until they learn how to be good parents themselves? and who do they look up to, im sure theyre bad parents because THEIR parents were bad too.
not to mention that all these bad parents will probably strike and cause a lot of shit because 'all da white people'd taken our kidz'

Quote from: Uncle Tоmyeah and the problem with it is that it's a cycle. parents teach their kids the wrong ideas on how to live a good life and then those kids teach it to their kids. the entire way that their mindset works makes it so that all material presented by white people/authorities is rejected and all information from black people is accepted, unless it conflicts with traditional black views. this gets confusing because it is unclear when this bias against white people is actually established, and i would venture to guess that it's probably in elementary school.
I'm still reading the article, but what you described sounds a lot like "acting white".

[EDIT]: Bah, the link ain't working. Cache tyme.
