south park season 14

tonight's episode was "sexual healing", an episode about sex addiction with tiger woods as the main focus. i thought it was really funny, a great start to the new season. i was really worried things were gonna pick up where they left off on the last half  of season 13 which was pretty much awful and had no direction. but this episode seemed to set things back on track. it had a relevant message and was well written. anyone else see it?

it was a good episode imo, not remarkable but not really bad at all either.  that fucking wizard alien lmfao

it really was great. i think the cause for most of the bad episodes (like in the last season) is that they just run out of ideas. after some time goes by and they have new material to work with they do a good job. i wouldnt be surprised if by the end  of the 14th season itll start getting lousy again as they start getting more and more desperate for something to write about. since matt and trey are still so involved in writing after this many years, the show has only been improving for a while. when south park finally ends, i imagine itll be because they finally run out of ideas altogether

the 'running out of ideas' thing doesn't really ring for south park though, especially now that they are more focused on satirizing current events. and with a turnaround time of a week or two, it's always relevant.

it was the episodes that didn't parody current events last season that were lame

actually, the best episodes (like scott ternoman must die) are the ones that they started thinking of at the beginning of the week in the middle of a run. The ones with basic ideas are the best because they leave so much room for jokes.

Yeah but the episode itself was delayed several weeks, causing the Shit episode to air before it. This was also before they picked up that practice since it was still fairly early on. But oh well. The new episode was pretty funny though

They usually claim to upload it "right after it aired" but that's usually not true. Takes around 2-3 hours (or sometimes even 4-5) for them to upload the episode, you can watch it now though.

i caught a re-run last night. the running sarah jessica parker gag was stupid, but the rest of the episode was alright. not particularly memorable imo
