I'm actually pretty thrilled for this game, since I haven't played the second gen since it first came out. Freezecube has preorderded the game for me, so I should be getting it a week from right now.

So who's  gonna get it?

I'm gonna get it~ 'Cause Gold/Silver/Crystal has always been my favorite generation and I'm a dork like that. I haven't really played any Pokemon game since those too.

I'm torn between getting Cyndaquil or Totodile.

Silver was my favorite, i just hope the fix the battle speed from Diamond or Pearl, stick Ruby or Sapphire in your DS and look how much faster the battles take place when you have the animations turned off, actually, i think when the animations are still on the battlers move faster then they do in Diamond or Pearl with the animations off... it slowed the game down too much for me and i never got all 8 badges

Definitely.
But yeah I G/S/C was my favorite gen and like what has really been stated earlier that they did a pretty decent job with the remakes so far and I feel after seeing the Gameplay in person that I'm actually really stoked for this one. My main concern is how useless the PokeWalker is and how its bundled in every gamebox, making it like $5-10 more expensive. Not that huge of a problem, but whatever.
