USB Device Not Recognized

Started having trouble with this when I put my laptop in hibernate while my gamepad was still connected. I've tried reconnectnig my device and reinstalling the software, but still nothing. It doesn't work for my other USB ports either.
Then I tried using one of my flash drives, and the same thing happened. I'm gonna guess that something's fucked up with my ports. Could someone please help me out with this?

Yes, my flash drive works on other computers, although I'm not positive about the gamepad, I don't want to take the time to install it on my older computer.

There could be software/hardware conflicts from another program.

You could rollback and/or reinstall again;

A friend had this happen with a midi controller. He turned off things in msconfig & reinstalled every driver until he found the driver conflicting with it (and disabled it); I wouldn't know if it's the same problem. I don't expect things to work after hibernate/sleep, so I usually restart if they don't. That's all I know

Yeah, putting it in hibernate must have been the culprit. I shut it down overnight and now it's working fine. Thanks, I really appreciate the help!
