The following is a list of internet memes on the site 4chan and descriptions of them.

   * A cat is fine too... – Taken from a Tsukihime doujin hentai in which a man chases a girl around with the intent of raping her. In self-defense, she morphs into a cat. The man does not care, and proceeds to say, "A cat is fine too...", before raping the cat.
   * An hero – A phrase coming from a comment on a MySpace page set up by the parents of Mitchell Henderson, a 13-year-old boy who committed suicide following a severe case of clinical depression. In the comment, left by a female schoolmate, she repeatedly says that Henderson was "an hero" [sic] and also mentions that Henderson's iPod was stolen the day before his suicide. The phrase is now commonly used on 4chan to advise other users to commit suicide ("go become an hero").
   * Barrel roll – A phrase stemming from a line in the 1997 video game Star Fox 64, in which the character Peppy utters the line, "Do a barrel roll! Press Z or R twice!" on multiple occasions. This meme is one of many that 4chan shares with YTMND.
   * Bitches don't know – Originally a MySpace photograph of a man wearing a shirt saying, "Bitches don't know 'bout my". It has since become an image macro, and text related to the current discussion is photoshopped onto the shirt after the initial phrase.
   * Bix nood – Inspired by a cartoon drawn by a member of Stormfront.org, a Neo-Nazi website, depicting a black man speaking gibberish into his cell phone. Among the phrases he says is "muhfuggen bix nood". This cartoon made its way to 4chan, and "bix nood" eventually became extremely popular. However, the meme rarely took the form of an image macro. Instead, an image involving "bix nood" was usually a Photoshopping of the comic. "Bix nood" has also come to be a common insult used in place of the term "nigger" among 4chan posters.
   * Candlejack – A character from the 1990s comedy cartoon Freakazoid who kidnaps people whenever they say "Candlejack". The poster usually says "Candlejack" and then has his comment cut off ("Dude, did you hear about Candlejack? That is some frea"), in
   * Caturday – A thread, usually taking place on Saturday, in which posters upload as many humorous images of cats as they can. "Caturday" threads usually receive hundreds of replies within a couple minutes. A collection of Caturday images can be found here and here.
   * Cockmongler – A photograph of a red-headed man with an eerie grin that was reportedly taken from the online store of the Lord Tyrell Museum. He is also referred to as Grinman and Richard C. Mongler. His catchphrase, "I want to mongle your cock", is occasionally used.

   * DO NOT WANT – An image macro with the text, "DO NOT WANT" displayed on it. The image it accompanies usually shows an animal, usually either a dog or a cat, with a look of disgust and/or fear. One of 4chan's oldest memes, it is believed to be a precursor to such events as Caturday. It originated from a Chinese rip of Star Wars Episode 3, inexplicably subtitled in bad English despite having the original audio. At the point where Darth Vader learns of his wife's death, and shouts out "NO!" the subtitles produce "DO NOT WANT"
   * Garfield – The editing of Garfield comic strips using a Garfield generator to make them either crude or freakish. The comic also may be Photoshopped after it has been generated, especially when the comic deals with other memes (turning the characters' faces into those of characters associated with said meme). A few of these comics have left 4chan and have gained popularity on the Internet in general (considerably rare in the case of 4chan meme),
   * How do I shot web?" – A phrase that first appeared during a game of Natural Selection on a Something Awful forums server, in which the enemies were shooting spider webs. One player asked repeatedly, "how do i shot web?" (it is presumed the player meant to say, "How do I shoot webs?"). This phrase eventually spread through the Something Awful community, eventually reaching 4chan, where an image macro of Spider-Man saying the phrase spawned hundreds of other pictures containing the phrase. The phrase was also altered to reference other memes, such as "how do i shoop woop" and "bitches don't know how to shot web".
   * IMMA CHARGIN MAH LAZER – An image macro showing Imperfect Cell from Dragonball Z charging a laser beam and firing it out of his mouth. Since Imperfect Cell caused controversy in the United States due to his resemblance to a minstrel (see also darky iconography and Mr. Popo), other phrases are usually added onto the image, such as ethnic jokes. However, most of the time, random phrases are used, most notably "SHOOP DA WHOOP" and "IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZER".
   * So I heard you like Mudkips... – Originally a quote from an AOL Instant Messenger conversation in which a webmaster advertising his Pokemon forum told someone, "so i herd u liek mudkips [[[sic]]]". This quote was then included in a story detailing a mentally challenged teenager humps a Mudkip plush and is beaten up by two football players, after which the teen's mother threatens to sue the school. The story was then copied and pasted nearly everywhere on the site and soon became very popular.
   * Spengbab – Inspired by a YouTube video] posted October 23, 2006, showing a grotesque drawing of SpongeBob Squarepants, as well some other characters from the show. Many users then began drawing their own versions of SpongeBob (renamed Spengbab), with each drawing becoming more and more grotesque. Since November 2006, however, there has been a steep decline in the number of Spengbab drawings.
   * Stick it in her pooper – A phrase telling the user to have anal sex with a girl, who is usually the topic of the thread. The phrase was created when a gay 4chan user made a post asking 4chan for sex advice to improve anal sex with his boyfriend. Among the replies were, "Stick it in her pooper", with "her" referring to the man's partner's supposed lack of masculinity.
   * Nyuk nyuk nyuk - became a meme recently with the "58m get", the 58 millionth post was "nyuk nyuk nyuk", not much else is known about this meme other than that it was decided that the 58 millionth post would become a meme.

   * Wikist - became a meme when someone accidentally edited the wikipedia entry on 4chan memes and added an - until then - unused word on the 4chan scene. Later no one picked it up and it became the least used meme ever.
         o Unfortunately, someone did notice and made note that editing wikipedia pages with no purpose, although fun, can be irritating to the average reader.
               + and so on and so on and so on until it stopped. Hooray.
   * Australia != Austria - Ausfags whine regularly about how everyone makes the "mistake" of citing Josef Fritzl (of incest dungeon fame) as an Australian citizen. All channers are well aware of the fact that he hails from Austria, but who doesn't like fucking with Ausfags?
