<--really similar to my old ways unfortunately.

Some of you may remember me as the douchebag that tried to defend stick animation. Well, you were all completely right. But i'm trying to put that behind me now and i've really been trying to animate actual characters (go figure). But yea, that would be fantastic if you could all tell me whats wrong with all of these.

Quote from: ΨNicoleWaterlollies should've been a stick movie.

imo!!

Quote from: Clutchdid you guys really not get what i was trying to say :|
Let me rephrase myself.

I in no way possible think that sticks are better than fullbody, fullbody has the ability to convey emotions and words strictly through their motions. All i am saying is that they are not as bad as you guys say they are. and the whole comparison thing was just to illustrate my point, sticks are not as good as waterlollies, i was using factual data to illustrate a point of how sticks are not that bad. :|

Also, the "american animating scene" thing is cause he just found our animating sites, he's very very very japanese.

you fucking said that the stick movie is a lot better than waterlollies which is proven with the score it had. Now you're saying something else. Get your stuff together before posting.
You are correct i did say that, but as i said just then it was only to illustrate my point that sticks can be just as appealing to people as fullbody, even though fullbody does take a lot more skill, patience, and just about every other factor of animating, I still think that sticks shouldn't be AS frowned upon as they are. Because usually people will just vote it down because it is a stick animation and not the quality of the animation itself.

Also sonni, you could be right, ive never asked him so ill rephrase myself

He is very very foreign

rtil, i would have added bells and whistles when it was finished, but alas i dont think i will finish it.
And i do not think that the tablet will make me better at drawing just better at drawing on the computer, i can draw fairly well with my hand, not my mouse therefore i wish to get a tablet and move into fbf fullbody.

Quote from: ClutchMishka, I draw everyday, with a pencil and paper, and i like to think that im getting better, but i have the most unsteady hand in the world with a mouse, I dont know what it is but when i draw with a mouse, I might as well be Michael J. Fox without his meds.

we were all like that. everyone. you just have to practice. alot. alot. alot. and you will develop a steadier hand. just because you don't see improvement at first or even for a while, doesn't mean it won't happen.
Okay, i guess ill start animating simple figures and work my way up, more tests coming soon.

you've gone and made me happy.
what tool would one go about using to draw with a mouse, because i cant get brush to cooperate.

Quote from: MRatThey just jump a whole lot. Stretch contract float stretch repeat. THERE IS NOTHING GOING ON!

also, you can't not criticize the sticks, because the way you animted them only works with sticks, and it's not that great, so the sticks can be blamed. just give up on sticks.
I will when I either:
a.)learn to draw better with a mouse.
or
b.)Get a tablet

Trust me, id love to get into fullbody, but i cant draw for shit with a mouse and ive yet to get a tablet, so for now, i animate sticks.

Lets not bash this just cause its sticks, i worked hard on it for the little time i worked on it.
This was gonna be entered in a comp on stick page but i ran out of ideas and inspiration.
Only criticize the animation no the sticks, Id prefer this to not turn into another stick bash thread.
