Yeah, I know, it is scary XD the red eye just adds to it.

But yeah... it's a bit of an underbite really, since the lower jaw is literally longer than the top jaw

Okay... my friend Scout made a journal yesterday about the virginia tech shooting on his deviantart account.

I don't have a copy of it because apparently he's suspended from dA for a while.

For what I recall, while jokingly saying 'this is what happens when asian kids lose at starcraft', in the journal he said that he doesn't really care about it because there are so many other things happening in the world that it doesn't matter, and -also- that if he knew any people that went there, it might be different, but his opinion still stands.

So, after writing a journal about that, he's now suspended...

I know to some people photography isn't an art, but to me it certainly is one. Though my view on it is a bit different. There are many people who 'think' they are photographers with their camera they got at wal-mart and takes pictures of their friends, but I am not one of those people.

For me, taking a photograph means capturing a moment of life at the right time. It's almost like a chance though. And sometimes when those chances happen, I don't even have my camera with me. But when I do, I take my time with a picture, even though sometimes, it's only a few seconds before I can take it, I'll be ready for it.

ALSO, the only thing I do to my pictures are usually a small amount of cropping and resizing, I do not change the contrast, brightness, appearance, or color of a picture. I feel like it's cheating.

Anyway.... enough of that, now I'll show you some of my photos

Some of these are old and taken with not-so-good of a camera that I have now, so they might look grainy

I was the only person willing to get close to the seals... I don't know why everyone was so afraid of crossing the imaginary kelp line    But now there's people there at the cove that don't allow you to get close anymore because of the fear of the seals being 'harassed.' Because some people one night apparently clubbed one of the seals. People like that ruin the fun of wild animal encounters >:

Rooster Tail is the name of that behavior, because the water seems to leave that impression. This is a common dolphin, part of a pod that consisted of a few hundred others.

Two cockatiels that I used to have... I'm thinking about getting another bird soon, probably a conure, since those are pretty cool parrots, specifically a green-cheek conure because they're quiet, small, and loving.

this is all very interesting, i have never seen sea life art before believe it or not. fish every once and a while, but nothing else. so it's refreshing to see.

some suggestions. work on line variation and avoid chicken scratch at all costs. so make longer, bolder strokes, and use thick lines to show volume, thin ones for detail. dont' use the same width of stroke for everything, it flattens out your characters.

These are a few of my sketches and doodles that I've done in the past.

Some are decent. Some are funny. But all of them are just sketches, there's nothing I've really taken from them and made into anything better, 'cept maybe a few. Tell me if you like any and suggest if I should take some of them and make them better.

Most of my sketches are of animals, so the anatomy will vary greatly.

And the doodles are usually just 10-second drawings that I make when I'm bored...

I -would- use attachments, but I just like links better because they don't take up much space and I can comment about the picture right after the link.

I always liked looking at that striped dolphin sketch because of how I was shading it's pattern and I all of a sudden forgot what the fluke pattern looked like, so it's just unfinished and I left it that way.

Hello, my name's Paleo

I wouldn't usually join a forum because I have started to despise them, but I figured I'd join rtil's because I'm a fan of his work and I might as well join the forum while it's small.


Anyway, I'll tell you a bit about myself.

I'm of 18 years of age (graduating this year) and I've always had a creative aspect about things all my life. I'm not the best artist out there, but I do what I can when I'm not procrastinating so much. I'm not an expert or even amateur at using flash or photoshop, but I make things as I progress in learning in my own time, so I may show a few things.

If there's one thing that you might need to know about me, it's that I'm a huge ocean freak. I love all marine life and am very knowledgeable on stuff like that, including other animals that aren't marine also. (Also the 'paleo' in 'Paleo_Orca' comes from my interest in paleontology)

Well enough about that...

I hope to become an active member of this forum and not just suddenly quit like I do on all the other ones I've been on. (8 and counting)
