this is partly true, but you're willingly ignoring the fundamentals of animation. surely you can understand that without the ability to properly roll through your frames before shooting them that it will prevent you from properly following the principles of animation? you're not going to get very far in animation by disregarding the rules everyone else follows.

...no, not in this case. the lightboard is a tried and true method of animation. your method clearly has shortcomings that make your animation suffer. you can be stubborn about it and make life more difficult for yourself, or you can take cues from the people who pioneered animation. there's a reason why 2d animation has been done the same way since nearly its conception.
if you ever want to take animation seriously, you'll have to move on to more practical applications. they certainly wouldn't let you do this in school or the industry.

i think the animating with notecards thing is the source of a lot of your issues. if you'd really like to animate traditionally, you need to invest in some kind of lightboard , a peg puncher and peg board for your lightboard, so you can flip and roll your frames and see what you are doing more clearly.
obviously that's a bit of an investment, so if you'd prefer the digital route a program like flash has a feature called 'onion skin' that is a poor man's lightboard, but works well enough for achieving the same utility. flash cs3 and lower also provide frame scrubbing , and overall looks a lot more friendly for animation than jasc.

Quote from: rtil on January 25, 2014 11:31 PMya I notice that too it was suppose to be a demspey roll but when I looked at it he looked like he was going to charge like a bull so I keep it that way

not bad, but they could use more slow in and slow out. basically, there is no ease on the high/low left/right keys.
