I didn't think it was real to begin with...

but someone is obviously either trying to give them an even worse rap, or there's a pedophile out there somewhere. Or both.

I thought this would be funny to some of you...

Cartoon Network's on Craiglist now, apparently, and looking for new talent in Los Angeles... and it seems to be about Brain Rush.

BUT YOU CAN ONLY BE 12-18 YEARS OLD

I can make it easier. I'll sum it up in four sentences.

"Hi! c:
My name is Mikael.
I like stuff and I talk a lot sometimes.
I hope you can critique my work and be friends or something."

As for Ace.

He's just mad because I got mad at him for faving art that I made that I barely worked hard on at all and did just for the sake of not giving in to boredom.

And something about Blue light at night.

still too much

try it with "im mikel whats up? I draw. "

Ya know... Why even put in the draw?

That looks like a cool place.

You know what? I have no excuse for being at SA. It's just annoying to take 5 billion years to upload and go through menus 50x to upload all the stuff you want to show off on another artsite. The other day I thought I uploaded all my artwork to Deviantart previously, only to find out I only uploaded Illustrations, some (like 4?) of which are horrible and old and lacking, and all my perspective drawings from class were never put up. I'm a lazy ass.

Actually ChannelCats the worst of the bunch.

The site's all glitchy and all he does is flirt with SonicRocksMySocks, disregarding responsibility.

Oh, and before anyone asks.
Yes my name originates from Mother 3. It also originates from the Comic of the same name despite me never actually reading it.

Yo, my name's Mikael. You can call me Mike, Mika, Mik, MaskedMan, The Masked Man, That superhero wannabee.
I joined originally for some CN Real Stuff, only coming back every once and a while. Mostly just lurking.
I'm 21, still in college, and looking to go to a better art school than what this place I'm living in has to offer.
I don't do flashes or animation yet. I have VERY little experience. I'm mostly an Illustrator and sketcher and I want make a comic form of my idea. However I've wanted to go to animation school since I was 5. And still do.
My favorite bands are Radiohead, Social Distortion, and Gym Class Heroes. I don't keep up with them enough though. I love music, but I tend to like it to come to me.
Kick-Ass is a cool comic, but I only have the 1st Issue: Director's Cut.

I came to this site because of Rtil. I saw some of his flashes and I liked them, as well as his concept art. However I didn't lurk long or join. I joined when CN Real came on and saw everyone complaining. Since not everyone seems to scout for information or go into substantial depth, I decided to join in. Give some info. Leave. come back a week later. Did the same.

I noticed that my friends on SA look to me for critique, but I have no one to give me any. That's another reason I'm here. You guys are much better or way weirder than me, so maybe I can improve here. I'm working on my own little world, but it's still constantly being worked on. The story is generalized though, I don't like giving specifics online. Yet.

I'd have no idea if I would fit in The Backalleys. I was never a good alley dweller as a kid . I can go into minute detail. I can search out facts and opinions with not much inpact on my time. I don't get offended easily.

Hope we can be friends, or something guys. Thanks.

Letting someone go?
That's the most sinister plot I've heard since Ferris Beauler decided to take a day off.

I was there and spent a lot of time on it this summer and noticed a sort of advent-guard sort of indie movement. It was basically the opposite of DA.

Plus it was different from previous years...Not as much Japanese Canon stylization. More out-there designs. Specific distinct styles. But way less users. I rarely saw anything that looked really bad or fanarty. At least while I was on.

But it does seem to be down, which sucks for me. It seems i might have to move to DA permanently.

EDIT:

I want to move to a different account. This was made like 2 years ago. But I still upload my better stuff there, so...I dunno.

This post has me very excited for next year. I can't possibly me any more excited than I am now.

I was totally unaware of McCracken's contract. That REALLY sucks. I was REALLY looking forward to Cartoonstitute.
And it seems that Pen did a better job at promoting Cartoon Network than the Panel did. A beach party. That's low budget and effective. Why not do it?

And Kirbopher? He's still around?

I remember where he spawned around on the internet and his 'animations' caught on. Albeit, slowly.

Jeezus. I wish I had the money to go to Comic-con. But I have friends that can be unreasonable fanboys/girls. They all want to go to Akon. :/ though they did get this awesome picture of a Doctor Venture cosplayer. Not much else.

I'm aware LoSE was Canadian based.
But when you compare the fact it's not currently on the network, yet we have the same damned reruns of DBD and Othersiders for an entire week, it's just...

if there was an emoticon with charlie brown going argh it would probably be here.

Survive This is obviously getting new episodes because it's Canadian based as well.
Othersiders... Well.... I swear that thing lingers like the ghost of a spiteful grandmother. How it's getting new episodes... >:

Cartoon Network has always had award winning cartoons, too. It makes me wonder why does anyone get rid of those to begin with. Their last show to obtain an award was Camp Lazlo. It wasn't a big award, but it was still an award.

How do you win awards with Real shows anyways?

Either way, I guess I'm just posting here to blow off held-in steam. It's not like it obsesses me every moment of the day.

I keep reviving this topic. D:
This is just for this week:
The Truth
Last week all instances of Teen Titans/Billy & Mandy/etc. were replaced with SlamBall.
Teen Titans was moved to Boomerang.
This week TT's back at the same time it was replacing SlamBall...where it left off I guess.
SlamBall is exclusively weekends again.

Andrew W. K. has a new commercial that now sounds more like a desperate plea.
All or at least most instances of "Hearing what I said" have been removed during regular programming from what I can tell.
No new episodes for DBD and BrainRush.
Othersiders, Survive This, SlamBall will have new episodes.

The Good
There's some marathons too.
We kinda get something like "The Best Day Edder" With a small Ed, Edd, and Eddy Marathon on Wed., A Christmas in July on Fri., A Scooby Doo Marathon (but to put some behind the scenes promos for their new movie which was cool when it was the first movie, but now...), and a Johnny Test Marathon.

Chowder and Flapjack will have a complete Half Hour of New Episodes this Thursday (and I hope every other Thursday)
Flapjack is beginning Season 2, already.

The Bad:
League of Super Evil has been wiped from the Network

I dislike the fact LoSE was killed off, but it had a lot of references younger probably wouldn't get because the typical Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain archetype died-off. Sucks.

They need to show the Ed's Movie already. :/

Quote from: Sashuraairing their old cartoons is a really good idea since alot of the younger generations havent seen a lot of the older stuff. thank fucking god

Thing is their target demographic isn't even the kids! They're after the tweens and teens. The very ones they had succeeded in alienating when they took out older action oriented shows and moved Toonami to Saturdays

And I know that you'll say 'one block can't be the downfall of a Network' and your right. But if you start to remove your STRONG blocks that make up the structure of your building and you get to one of THE STRONGEST blocks you have and the ceiling starts caving in, you start to panic...so you come up with a bunch of not as strong block ideas in a desperate attempt to get your viewership, money, and fame back, that creates a huge mess in which people are delusional and say crazy things like "Who says a Cartoon has to be ANIMATED!?" making others think you gotta be on something to say that.

First low brow animation was removed, then Classics, followed by Cartoon Cartoons, then their Action Block, then whatever was left of Hannah-Barbara on their network. Low brow was replaced by more classics and Cartoon Cartoons, then Cartoon Cartoons disappeared off the network while older WB shows started to bleed in as well as new originals, Then movies, action died out, Goosebumps and more WB diluting, leading to this. a bunch of bricks on the floor that...if you look in the right places, looks like it still has a chance to rebuild itself.

One book I bought was Human Anatomy Made Amazingly Easy for inside muscle references.

But Andrew Loomis is the only site I'll hear you could use. I haven't used it myself. I haven't looked at it, but a friend told me about it. I think I'll check it out myself:

It is a whole site of Andrew Loomis's books on Anatomy and Illustration. They are the rarest out of print 'how to draw' books to date.

Once Again:

HERE Is Andrew Loomis

Sorry I'm reviving this and you wish it were buried... but it seems there's a shift.

Cartoon Network has started to air some of their older new shows. Namely "Ed, Edd, & Eddy", "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy", "Ben 10", and "Teen Titans".
They have replaced reruns of "Survive This!", "The Othersiders", Even the rerun of "The Shaggy Dog", and the combo "Ben 10: Race Against Time"/"Destroy Build Destroy" that was to replace "The Shaggy Dog" This week.

They're still showing New CN Real shows Wed night.

I know some of you may hate the Japanese-esque, typicalness, and choppiness of TT and B10.
I know some of you don't like the off-beat somewhat childish sense of humor in EEE.
If anyone hate's Billy & Mandy, I don't know a typical reason why...

but I thought it'd be nice to let you know that the 'Real' Idea is starting to weaken.

To me it seems they got the message that maybe ACTION cartoons would do better than REAL ACTION, so they're trying to check if it'll work. Sadly they don't have many action cartoons that they consider 'recent syndication' and they just finished Alien Force (which had potential but ended up being lackluster crap). Secret Saturdays and Brave and the Bold seem to be doing great, but I really wished they'd show them more. There also less League of Super Evil, which also sucks because I love the show to death.

That's your straight man talk for the day.
