1: Building a bbs forum via html, css, ect...

2: A gameboy style game makeing software. Like CastleVania or MegaMan.

3: 8-bit music maker. Got it!

Know somethin', let me know.

considering the fact you can only think of html and css for building a bbs forum i'd suggest you save yourself years of trouble and either pirate & install one on your own site or use a free, pre-hosted forum. you'll have more freedom installing one on a site of your own, but despite the installation process being relatively painless most people couldn't figure it out if their lives depended on it.

I tried phpBB, I habut It required me to use XAMPP which sucked about 3\4 of the very little ram that ve. I'll look into it more opps.

A couple (a bunch?) of years ago I went to some lame game making class in downtown Pittsburgh for the summer. We used a program called game maker, which at the time was really easy to use. I haven't used it in years and I cant really understand the new layout but I'm sure that if one sat down with it long enough one could make something cool. Back when I used it, you would plug your pictures in and then there were big controls for what to happen if a button was pressed, setting gravity and friction for different symbols, etc.

It works as a pretty good test run before you can learn how to code yourself, I guess?

tl;dr what about that one game maker progrum

there isn't a program that can magically mimic an 8bit console programming language for you to my knowledge. most of these games following the 'retro' craze have been built from the ground up, a few of them have even used shitty ol flash. you'd be better off learning the limitations of old games and using those as guidelines if you get around to programming
<emanhattan> i remember pingu ice cream
<emanhattan> it was a better time
<emanhattan> when the penguins were cold and delicious
<emanhattan> and i knew i was gonna be
<emanhattan> consequence free

Heres another thing I need help with. So I get an illegal copy of photoshop (The one I gave "eman/bad topic" in his photoshop help post). So I go to install it, and it asks me to "insert disk". "What disk? I have all the install stuff right here!!." Got any ideas on what that could be?

rtil

is it a disk image? or is it one where all the install files are in a single folder. read the nfo if it came with one

No ISO but A folder w/files. The nfo tells me to install (cant get past install), replace the exe file with crack exe file, and done.

rtil

try mounting the iso instead of running it inside the folder
