um excuse me miss but you appear to be stuck in a very foggy room i can only imagine what kind of chemicals and pollution youre breathin in... maybe its hot in there i noticed youre not wearing very much clothes, is it the weight of the air that is making it so hot? either way i dont think thats a very good place to be working on whatever youre workin on, my dad's got a shed hes not using maybe hell let you fix it up real nice like a workshop, it would certainly be an improvement over your foggy void

I would imagine he steers clear of those tools, and just changes the flow and opacity of his brushes.

ren pretty much got it. i use slightly soft round brushes with opacity controlled by pen pressure. i don't use the flow option, for some reason to me it looks weird when i paint. to blend, i am always picking colors until i get the gradation i want.

but jenna uses the smudge tool a lot and is really good with it. it's good for pushing color around.

i wouldn't use the blur tool unless i was trying to get an out-of-focus look on something

Ive used the blur tool to kind of cheat and make the blending on colors look more integrated with one another. With the smudge tool, it takes away the sharpness that causes a lot of the seperation of values to be really obvious. Detail on the other hand Id never mess with the blur except for an out of focus look

Ill try the brush technique though

the problem with using photoshop tools to blend is that photoshop doesn't actually blend colors. the more color you add on top of another, the more muddy it's going to get. it doesn't blend like real paint or colors in life would. so you have to be constantly painting and selecting colors (keep a palette) or you're usually not going to get the look you're going for

i'm gonna do all the tf2 characters as girls cuz i'm sexist

i've seen people do it before, but it's either pin-up stuff or just girls in the same costumes as their male counterparts. i want to try and give them a unique female flair besides having them wear almost no clothes

As for what that thing is on the original scout's back, it's a weird-military-delivery bag-thing. Not too sure what to call it either.
