FYI the beats are the same. I'm currently working on a RAM problem in my computer so the sound may be a little distorted.

these songs feel really disjointed, they don't seem to have a beginning, middle or end. i'd drop the generic techno beat and work on something more interesting

It's really awkward when the notes go off tempo sometimes. All the melody notes in Sadness seemed to have legato and no variation except for the notes (you could've play around more with the volume, timbre, whatever effects you may slap on). Same thing in Summer home except you switched to staccato. At least it felt happier than the first one.

as everyone else has said, they sound very off. More or so like you're messing around with the settings on a keyboard rather than having a planned out song.

also, to separate the two, i wouldn't put the same beat track behind them unless you can make more melody lines stand out more than the back beat.

Just what program are you using?
It sounds like to me that you're recording yourself playing over a pattern from whatever program you're using
In any case, keep workin'

I understand what everyone is saying. My RAM sticks in my computer died yesterday and now I have to wait until I get new ones. For SHADOWFOX2's question, I use various sound libraries and VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugins to compose the music then I mix it down with Audacity a free audio editor and recorder. I'm a freeware guy.

Audacity isn't a program. It's a sadist little man who get's dropped off into your computer who holds up little windows in your PC. If his arms get a little tired, or just when he wants to see that look of defeat on your face, he closes the application and refuses to work for recordings more than 12 seconds long for the rest of your session. He loves to feed on your anger and sadness and there's no defeating him. Just admit defeat and pirate a decent program while you still have your innocence.
