almost all of the organizations that oversee food production are regulated by the companies that make the food

and also the fda never does anything either. some members have tie-ins to the food companies that they're regulating, some of them are being bribed by the companies, and some just don't give a fuck

it's very rare that the fda actually does anything for the interest of the consumers
