stupid fucking audio

ive been running my computer on standby instead of just turning it off. when my steam was fucking up i thought maybe turning it off for a bit would fix it but instead it turned everything into classic windows

and now another weird thing is that i cannot hear any audio at all. Whenever I try to play music it tells me theres a problem with my sound device and it may not be installed, BUT for some reason any noise on skype manages to work. I was even able to talk to someone over it. but youtube videos, windows media player and anything else doesnt.

Also i checked my control panel in sounds and audio devices and it says that there is no audio device connected

i system restored and it fixed everything so lock i guess yep
