Quote from: rtilyou asked the swain for advice on scriptwriting? hahahahahaha

in any case i won't be passing around my script to a bunch of people for suggestions on what will make it more 'likeable'
if the writing is poor so be it but it's my story and i'm not gonna let people mess with it
for sure, that would like writing a book but then letting people change it cause they don't like parts of it.
Wait isn't that what an editor does?
i don't have any internet friends on AIM who are professional editors. and dago is right, editors are dominantly for fixing structural errors in books.

davidmoore0

I sort of figured that is all an editor is for. That is pretty much the closest thing I could think of though. I'm sure authors have people add and subtract things from their stories...

Dagolith

ya but thats totally up to the author if he/she wants to change anything.

lmao i'm going to pretty much just say what i think of the animation in one sentence just so it's aLL CLEAR FOR YA RTIL

The animation was excellent and by far outweighs the poor voiceacting and I know the music wasn't your fault and yes i did like it but didn't think it was anywhere near perfection which is not a bad thing infact it's not even possible to have a 'perfect' animation in my view.

SO YES OK I LIKED IT i'm just a little critical. As I am with most things. It was an excellent piece of animation. I just don't want to be like the other 99% of the people that reviewed your animation that said 'THIS WAS AMAZING' and left no criticism or nothing for you to try to improve on. Or i would have actually been like that.

THERE

rtil

well i can definitely understand being a critical person, as i am known for being just that. in that light, i probably was just overwhelmed the last few days releasing it and all, all the tension i built up inside me. now the criticism doesn't feel as intense as they did when i first read them, and i know what to improve on. sorry for all that

trent bortknob

Rtil, your scripts are always fun, don't worry about that. Just worry about the animation and don't worry about what little 13 year olds think. Metropolis Circuit would look great in a resume, and I imagine your not going into the writing field besides. You just write your own stuff, to have something to animate, amiright? But, Dmac double does professional like script revisions for people free of charge. Just putting that out there.

im like 26 lmao

er 15

im not 13 though and, king david if you're reffering to me when you say 'little 13 year olds' think about what you're saying. also im one of the only people on this forum who has the right to give crit to this cartoon, most you dont even know what you're talking about

anigentleman

jeb is pretty cool

look at his shades

rtil

technically speaking anyone has the right to give it a critique, but it's usefulness depends on how much the person knows about things like acting, camera and color. for example, someone sent me a PM explaining to me why he thought the cartoon was literally gay, but his lack of ability to spell and poor input on the homosexual nature of the characters made it useless to me
