the other day we were talking in a skype chat and i thought of a silly idea

this idea was to make a casual pass-around comic about tba people, somewhat similar to the universes displayed in other comics like lenko's "donnington creek" comic and rtil's hentai high thing, only the idea was to put everyone in a typical generic anime school setting. if you don't know what i'm talking about or you don't want to join in, don't respond to this thread

here's the gameplan:

objective: we're making an endless-possibility comic poking fun at/embracing silly anime cliches, creating a continuing story about everyone here on tba in a school. after all, what's a GREAT anime without school? who doesn't love school right???

plotline: EVERYONE ON TBA IS IN A SCHOOL AND WE ALL HAVE POWERS OR SOMETHING ISN'T THAT GREAT

procedure: i'll do a few pages after i get a decent-sized pool of people who'd be down for this. then i'll tag someone. every person passed to thereafter will have 3 days to complete a minimum of 1 page to add on to the story. it will be an ENDLESS story in which we all FIGHT and share AWKWARD SITUATIONAL COMEDY. CAPS LOCK

management: this isn't an ANIGEN STUDIOS LTD project, just a thing i felt like starting. i'll take some degree of responsibility and keep an eye on the tagging and do my best to keep the comic from degenerating into shit but i'm not "running" this

the point: i thought it would be fun and would be a neat "art game". it's also fun to develop characters and since we as the tba people are kind of already characters, it'd be fun to see how that translated into some sort of anime

WHAT YOU CAN DO: first, sign up here. you can join as an artist or a writer but if you're a writer you'll have to get an artist looking for ideas and team up with them. protip: don't piss off whatever artist you team up with or they probably won't draw any of your ideas

why i am doing this: i like stories and i like characters. I'M NOT A NERD UNGHHH OK NO MORE QUESTIONS

rules:
1. there has to be a good amount of uguu in every bite.
2. you have 3 days to do at least one page. no extensions
3. don't draw HORRIBLY. you don't have to put mega effort into anything but at least try to make the characters recognizable
4. don't give me your ironic hipster post bullshit about what you think about me for starting this. i don't need your x in my z
5. no passing to people who don't sign up in this very thread
6. if someone gets a tag, they can't be tagged until at least 2 other people have been tagged after them. some people have lives and shit!!
7. have fun and don't make yourself look like a douchebag by trying to ruin the game for everyone!!! (i'm looking at you chicken)
8. things can be done in any character's perspective, but try not to make it confusing. unless you're mrscriblam, and you're doing your pages in spanish. BUT KEEP IT FUNNY ANYWAY OR I'LL MURDER YA
9. pass it off to people who will be somewhat responsible and make something clever. we're not out to derail our own work for the sake of being ironic, we're out to be funny. if you're going to fuck something up at least make it humorous ok???
10. any characters who die can come back in a SURPRISE ANIME PLOT TWIST so keep that in mind
11. you can color your pages or leave them uncolored but like i said at least make sure there's some sort of effort in there
12. the characters are tba people. to keep shit less confusing. we all know each other but not necessarily all of each other's characters, and we in ourselves are characters so yea!

sign up here and maybe you'll get passed to. remember, you don't have to go out of your way to make a page look good (unless you want to that'd be tight ) but at least show some sense of effort or something


ALSO, if you don't want to draw for this but you have a special request in how you want to be portrayed, say it here and the artist who draws you just may consider it. or make you look like the exact opposite.

ok since we're definitely giving at least some of the characters here powers, it'd probably be a smart idea to have a "power claim". don't be anything overpowered or unbeatable. that's silly!

me - space abilities. IE teleportation, dimensional power bullshit etc
zhi - BIRD POWER
bp7 - rigorous glass-cannon power involving  SUMMONING A PHOENIX and RUNNING AROUND IN A CIRCLE 429 TIMES

you wont have to be working very often at all. 3 days to get one mild-expectation page done is not demanding work. but if you must go with one i'd recommend sticking with metrotunnel tbh
