so ive been spending the last few days making this
it only has about an hour of straight up gameplay but there are lots of extra little things to do

At the slaytar village, someone said "somethings fishy about that lake"
I walked around the border of the lake and didnt find anything, I even tried the otherside lol.
The doors were locked so maybe I had to find a key.

you're not supposed to go to slartown at that point, thats why everythings locked

Fun game overall. Took me 2 hours. Glad there wasn't a battle every step.

some tips for anyone who hasn't played yet:

General Tips:

1) save frequently, especially before bosses
2) use skills, because they're pretty dice
3) don't bother leveling your party up beyond level 15, that's all you'll really need to beat the game.
4) make sure to equip armor and weapons as soon as you get them
5) press escape or X to bring up the menu, and hold shift to run. space is the action button.

Gameplay Tips:

1) just post here or IM me if you're stuck cause i can't be assed to make a whole guide

Sidequest Tips:

1) Talk to the cat outside of the inn in tirby, and he'll give you lots of items. Talk to him again after you discover the scorpion crystals and he'll give you more items.
2) Talk to the cat inside the inn in tirby twice and say yes, and he'll give you a magic water!
3) The "out-of-business" shop sells scrolls right before you return to Dream City. Then they go out of business again.
4) At any point in the game after you beat the boss in Tirby, you can attempt to defeat the fairy godmother in slartown. She lives here:

Defeating the fairy godmother allows you to obtain the ultimate human weapon, the Pretty Great Sword and you can get it at almost any point in the game after you beat the boss in Tirby. You''ll probably have to level up a bit though. She has 2000 HP and a rigid defense and runs away on the second turn so you have to defeat her before then.
5) If you want to know how to defeat the cactus boss, talk to the man in the front of Pooweanus and give him one magic water. Later in the game during the scorpion crystal bit he gives you an elixer for a magic water.
6) Talk to old man in the house in Pooweanus after you get the magic water from the piano. He'll give you his life savings, 200 gold.
7) The tower above the final dungeon is unlocked when you get the scorpion key. Inside lies a single treasure chest containing Jude Law's Trident.

It won't be too easy to get to, though, because every few steps you take will send you on an encounter a set of the hardest monsters in the game.
8) After you're able to return to dream city, eturn to the first area you began the game at for a decent item.
9) After you kill the Fire-Man, return to your cell to find a cool item!

I always wished there was a way to create an game in RPG maker with only your own assets, i was working on one a few years ago where all i really remember was putting a giant scorpion ronald mcdonald as a boss, but yeh, only being able to import your own enemies was lame.

Started a bunch of projects but I think I never really finished a game... my most precious experiment was called Redlight Mafia... damn, now you've made me miss another silly part of my past.
