Here's a great idea! Since nobody likes stupid techno music, Why don't we have the "mucicians" hide behind the scenes and have a bunch of badly drawn cartoon characters play the "music". Everybody loves cartoons right? Wrong! You'd be better off buying a real life gorilla to destroy the CD for you. What I just said makes no sense and I am aware of that but you really shouldn't waste your money on this CD.

1.0 out of 5 stars An embarrassment to Metal., January 17, 2004

What ... is this? It's like Spinal tap turned into a reality! I don't like any of Judas priest's music, but this is just plain [bad]. This album contains almost every Metal cliche you can possibly think of. Listen to this if you want to know WHY the market for traditional Metal dried up by the end of 1991. The only saving grace is Halford's voice.

Oh, and I have something to say to all the metalheads out there: Wearing Judas priest tee shirts, obnoxiously shouting "Up the irons!" every five minutes, and mindlessly bashing Death metal and Black metal all the time does not make you "real" or "true". It just makes you a tool. Later.

This has got to be the worst mouvie I have ever seen. I've always liked Jim Carrey and thought he could never go wrong, I was obviously mistaken. The basic idea of this mouvie is great, but they made it WAY to dark for a good comedy. Mouvies like "Very Bad Things" works as a very dark comedy because it never goes away, the colour stays through the entire mouvie. In this one, it never seems clear if they were going for comedy, dark comedy, or just dark. I never really understood the point of this mouvie and hopefully never will.

Easily the worst mouvie I've ever seen... recemmended to no one.(Even the people I hate)

1.0 out of 5 stars The overacting guy., June 18, 2002
By A Customer
"Spoof" of legitimate thrillers such as *Bad Influence* or even *Single White Female*, movies in which a sudden and unlooked-for friendship becomes a little too close for comfort for the saner person in the relationship. In *The Cable Guy*, the saner half is played by Matthew Broderick, a young urban professional who has recently been kicked out of his fiancee's apartment and is now living alone. He decides to install cable in his new place. Enter Jim Carrey as the Cable Guy, who for most of the movie uses the nom de plume "Chip Douglas", taken from the 60's TV show *My Three Sons*. It's revealed in a flashback that Chip was -- big shock -- neglected as a child, and was basically raised by the boob tube. Like, by the way, EVERYBODY ELSE born during and after the 50's, but whatever. If we settle for director Ben Stiller's lazy psychological guesswork, then I suppose we're all "cable guys". At any rate, Chip, sensing vulnerability from Broderick's character, latches onto the poor sap like a bad case of athlete's foot -- at first aggressively asserting his "friendship", and then aggressively wreaking vengeance on Broderick once the latter tells him to get lost. This is not a terrible movie by default, but Jim Carrey makes it one with his insufferably out-of-control performance. From the instant Chip appears, he's not the least bit believable, even as a joke. (If jokes weren't believable, they wouldn't be funny.) When this movie came out, much was made of Carrey's $20 million-per-movie asking price: while that shouldn't have anything to do with what we see onscreen in this movie, one can't help but wonder if Carrey's "cost" -- which was probably half this film's budget -- dictated the manner in which he's allowed to run riot, here. I mean, what? -- was little Ben Stiller going to tell this guy to calm down? Much like the characters in the movie, the cast and crew of *The Cable Guy* seem burdened with an overbearing personality who, in the last analysis, simply won't shut the hell up. Oh, and by the way: when Stiller blessedly gets the camera OFF Carrey, the best he can do is make tired comments about media saturation, sensationalist TV, etc. I don't need Ben Stiller to tell me that television is crass.

What a waste. I hate it when I purchase music that seems different, fall for the 'Radio' hit because it's different than what's in the regular rotation, buy the cd then use the disk for as part of my 'Sucky CD' collection. After reading the reviews of soooo many 5 star reviewers, buying this thing and then kicking myself in the head, I will stick with with what I know best-Funk, Hip Hop, Death Metal, Thrash, soul, salsa. Get Ozomatli instead. Get Megadeth instead. Get Slapback instead. Get Fishbone instead. Get Erykah Badu instead. Get Dying Fetus instead. Get Devin Townsend instead. Get Ice Cube instead. Get Jill Scott instead. Get John Legend instead. Get Suffocation instead. Get Living Colour instead. Get A Tribe Called Quest instead. Get Maxwell instead. Get Obscura instead. Get Prince instead. Get Redman & Method Man instead. Get the Roots instead. Get Isaac Hayes instead.

ANYTHING but Gorillaz. If you're a TRUE fan of music, I promise you, this cd sux!

1.0 out of 5 stars TEENAGERS KILLING THEMSELVES??, August 15, 2007
By    4MaskCurse "Kyonshi Jiang Shi" (Chicago,IL) - See all my reviews
I really wanted to enjoy this game,as I have the first two Persona games as well as Nocturne and Devil Summoner;but Persona 3 goes way past the line of good taste.

To summon your Persona (other self or ego) players will put a gun (called
an Evoker) to their head and pull the trigger.Atlus, this is %110 BULL***T!!

The fact that these characters are teenagers and also that adolescents are among the highest rate of suicide victims, makes me want to vomit, when I think that YOU ARE MAKING MONEY OFF THIS!

There was absolutely no reason to put something so careless, idiotic and in such bad taste in a a game. This was all done in the name of the almighty dollar.Who needs any form of integrity when we can make a quick buck?

It's also not as if this is displayed once in the game, but everytime a character wants to transform into a Persona,we get to see a nice scene of kids blowing their brains out. What class Atlus;I hope you sleep well at night. What a wonderful thing for the youth to be exposed to.No doubt this game will also be played by those under 17.Even those who are of age and older, this is an unhealthy thing to be desensitized with.

To ALL the developers at Atlus and ALL the people that say there is nothing wrong with that aspect of the game;why don't you show this to some families WHO HAVE LOST LOVED ONES TO SUICIDE?Specifically by using a gun!See how "creative","artistic" or "FUN" they think it is.

This game should be recalled and that ignorant, insensitive and immature aspect be removed.I hope these jokers get sued, and whatever money they made from this game gets donated to teen suicide prevention.

GROW UP AMERICA!

I am typically the BIGGEST fan of these Canon ELPH cameras. I owned the SD450 and still do have the SD1000. The SD450 was a victim of being tossed around in luggage, so when that broke, I went with the SD1000 and was very happy. I wasn't the biggest fan of the square nature of the SD1000, but loved the camera otherwise and soon forgot about its boxy frame. I have an 11 month old daughter and decided to get a second camera that way my husband could take the SD1000 and I would have the SD1200IS (in orange, of course) at my side all of the time to snap pictures of the baby. I could not have been more excited to receive my camera and was instantly disappointed. The sturdy feel that was found with the SD1000 had disappeared to a cheap, plastic feel. The battery cover door is flimsy and feels like it could pop open at anytime. However, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and promptly popped the battery in to snap a few pictures to test it out. Indoor pictures are terrible. The AUTO position on the camera is a complete joke. I think it's safe to say that 75% of those pictures were unusable and the remaining 25% were definitely not GOOD. After messing around with the settings a little (I'm not a camera pro, but I do know a few things about the ISO settings and such), I was able to improve the percentage of good to horrible pictures to probably 50%/50%. However, I still was lacking crisp, clear photos. After checking the photos and completely missing out on some AWESOME pictures that actually had my daughter looking at the camera because they were completely fuzzy, I have decided to pack it up and send it back. The video is not HD, but neither was the SD450 or SD1000, and I think that the SD1200's is inferior. I cannot express how disappointed I am that Canon has released such a subpar offering. I paid just under $170 for this camera and am wondering if I would have a different response with the SD780 or SD940, but then will have to shell out at least another $100 for it. We paid $150 for the SD1000 and I almost got 2 of that model. I now wish that I had. The SD1000 is a 7.1 MP and the 1200IS is 10 MP. Honestly, I feel like I got pictures with my 2MP Fuji Finepix that I had 8 years ago.

I'm sorry to do this to you, Canon - I've been such a supporter and have recommended your cameras to more than a handful of friends/family members. I'm going to have to rethink my camera situation. I was blown away from the good reviews - but whenever something negative was said about this model - it did say there were a lot of blurry pictures. Perhaps if I haven't been so wow'ed in the past by other SD ELPH models, I may not have not had such a horrible review. I do think that the SD1000 was a significant upgrade from my previous SD450; however, I think the SD450 did a better job than this SD1200 that supposedly has the "Image Stabilizer"

I had this card in a Panasonic DMC-TZ5 camera for about a month, and in that time the card experienced a "read error" on three separate occasions that resulted in all the pictures currently on the card disappearing. I called Panasonic customer service and the first question they asked was what brand card I had. When I told them Kingston, they advised me to get a new card, as nearly everyone who complained about disappearing pictures (in any model camera) had a Kingston card. I'd much rather spend a little more money and actually have my pictures!

I read the reviews and thought this game would be fun. I enjoy the final fantasy series, and I was eager for a filler to pass time between now and March when the new Final Fantasy drops. With this many 5 star ratings, it had to be good right? Boy was I wrong. There are Zero save points. Easily the most frustrating game I ever played. When you die, after 30-45 minutes of effort, you lose everything and get the pleasure of starting over. I don't have time to play levels over and over again. You basically need to play them perfect to move on.

I traded it back into Amazon for credit.
If it sat around my house any longer I would have broken it in half... or at least set my beers on it to protect my table.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY this!

A different and honest point of view of a movie beloved by some and loathed by others, February 22, 2010
By    Jon Jonz - See all my reviews
Robert Zemickis is no stranger to making films that go back in time. Whether it be through time travel in "Back To The Future" or through the accounts of a simple yet intellectual challenged man named Forrest Gump. In Forrest Gump Tom Hanks takes on the title role of a Alabama man who overcomes odds only to face more as he grows older. While many will give this movie 5 stars and critics and movie goers alike loved this movie, I will give you an honest opinion that differs. This movie will take you on an emotional rollercoaster with some laughs thrown in otherwise it would be unbearable. The visual effects are excellent and were state of the art at the time of the films release in 1994. This movie is very far from being a comedy though. It has some comedic elements but they are there only to neutralize the impending doom that comes to most of the characters throughout the movie. Forrest Gump also unabashfully reeks of a conservative message that the person who obeys and belives in God first and foremost, believes in his country no matter what and has morals no matter how unintelligent he might be will survive over everything and everyone else. At what price though one must ask?, When this movie and the main character must deal with abdonment from just about every character. Anyone who has experienced abdonment issues should be warned this movie will definetly bring these issues to a head. It is anything but a feel good movie. While the character Forrest Gump must be looked at as commendable and a good person you cant help but feel sorry for him ( not because he has a low IQ but rather because of all the people that leave his life). You simply walk away from this movie feeling bad overall yourself. I'm still confused as to how this movie could ever be labeled a feel good movie. It's tragedy is what it is. Here is a man of humble means and intelligence who goes on to experience the 50's through the 1980's in America, helps shape popular culture by pure accident, has run ins with president and celebrites, by pure chance, becomes successful in the shrimp industry with the help of a hurricane, by pure chance becomes finacially stable for life because he invest in Apple Computers, but what does any of this success mean when all the people he cares about leave him or die? This movie sends the message the opposite of what's really important. Forrest becomes rich in materialism and noteriety but is he really rich in spirit and personal life when everyone he cares about is gone? The movie winds down and concludes by trying to soften this blow with the revelation that Jenny who now lives in Savannah Georgia after years of promiscuness and drug use now has a son who is actually Forrest's very own biological child. This even comes off sad and confusing. And for me was the final straw for this movie having any redeeming qualities. Did Jenny really get pregnant by Forrest that faithful night she decided to hop into bed with him? Only to leave the next morning abdoning Forrest once more? The movie only hints that Jenny and Forrest had sex together. Yet by having a scene where Forrest and Jenny's son both tilt their heads the same way while watching tv we are to believe without a doubt he is Forrest son.Based on Jenny's track record for sleeping around the odds are pretty high that other guys she was with could had passed a gene on to the kid that makes him tilt his head. Titling ones head is not uncommon at all and most certainly doesnt give proof positive evidence that Forrest is the father. If Jenny found out she was pregnant soon after in her transient travel assuming she hadnt slept with anyone else how did she know for sure Forrest was the father? Regardless of Jenny's troubled past I would think if she cared at all about Forrest she would had contacted him before the baby was born to tell him it was his child. If she was sleeping around as the movie hints at throught out her adult life, then the story and movie leaves an unexplanied gap. How did Jenny known Forrest fathered the baby? The second scenerio which i'm afraid is even sadder, Is Jenny got pregnant sometime after she left Forrest's house by some other guy, and when she found out 6 years later she was dying she decided she could call upon good old dependable Forrest and use his lack of intelligence and good naturedness against him and tell him the kid is his knowing he would raise the child and would do anything for Jenny. Either way the motives of Jenny which go unaddressed is heartbreaking none the less. and in my opinion leaves her character with no redeeming qualites whatsoever. Afterall she could never give her love to Forrest his entire life, even though he offered unconditional love to her, but only when she is dying and needs her son to be raised by someone she knows is dependable does she give her love and self to Forrest. As the movie ends and Forrest is sending his "son" off to school just like his momma had done for him you get the sense of sadness. Not because things have come full circle, but because the movie leaves many things untied as to whether or not Jenny lied to Forrest about him being the daddy. And if she didnt lie then she selfishly prevented Forrest from knowing his only child until she was close to death. And robbed the boy of his first 5 or 6 years of life knowing his daddy. After watching this movie you will feel you invested 2 1/2 hours of your life only to feel cynical, angry and empty all at the same time. This is no American Classic it is an American Tragedy at best. For some reasons many years ago I opted not to go see this movie as a teenager even though my entire family and some friends all went into the theatre together for the same showing on opening weekend. As I went several rooms over to watch "Wolf" starring Jack Nicholson to a near empty theatre and thought I was missing out on pop culture history perhaps.. Years later I watched Forrest Gump numerous times on tv, cable and video, and realized I was glad I never saw it on the big screen. In closing for this review then I'll give some advice based on my experience. If your thinking about buying this movie, go buy Wolf on dvd instead. Trust me you'll be a hell of lot happier and not depressed afterwards.

why is this bad? because it's fucking long for a review on amazon.

lmao @ the demon's souls review

here's a handful that i found for one certain film...

Never buy this movie, or even see it, or rent it! This has to be the worst movie I've ever seen. The whole plot is sad, there are about 2 funny lines, and all the characters are weirdos. Mothers, if you are thinking of letting your kids watch this, don't unless they are at least over 8 or 9! I mean really, in the first 5 minutes I hated this movie, a tip for the producers, Don't start out with the saddest part of the movie. If there are any sad parts they're supposed to be at the end. But don't worry, there's more than one sad part. I was really looking forward to this movie because it looked funny and was made by Disney, WRONG! To think I almost bought this movie. Never buy IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One last comment, dogs flying in planes shooting machine guns, WHAT is up with that!
----
I don't care about how many discs there are, this movie sucked. I expect more from Disney. This movie was pretty boring. The only thing was that it did make me sad at parts where the old man talked about his wife and there life together. My kid was not very entertained by this. Rent before you buy. We had looked forward to this movie for six months and we were totally let down. I don't get why people give it 5 stars.
----
What is the deal this movie? My son expected it to be very funny. Yes it had some funny parts, but by and large, it was very depressing and made my son, who's 7, very saddened and upset. In the first 5 minutes of the movie, they deal with infertility and death. Even my wife started crying in this movie. One watches movies to escape reality, not embrace it.

It's a movie for CHILDREN! Even at Wal-Mart, with "UP" playing on the display television, my wife saw a young child begin crying in the scene where the guy's wife dies. A kid's movie should not make a child cry in the first 5 minutes.

And what was the deal with the boy's father? It was never explained. Or his mother, for that matter. All we know from the movie is that he lives with someone who's not his mother.

So all in all,

It's a boy...with no mother or father, hanging out with a disgruntled old man dealing with infertility and loss/death. That is NOT the recipe for a good kid's movie.

I hope Disney/Pixar can re-"Imagine" their entertainment.
----
The kid is absolutely annoying and single-handedly justifies abortions. And whats with Old geezer eloping with little kid to South America like the nazis, anyways? The prehistoric bird is a complete waste of imagination and totally lacks any creativity. I bought this dvd because the critics had raved about the movie... I think they were either too drugged out or drunk to know what they were talking.

And from an architectural point of view, placing the house atop the Venezuela's Angel Falls is just plain stupid and lacks any vista. In fact they even show the old man look down precariously from the edge to see a small part of the falls from top to prove my point. The first location the house lands after the imaginative flight is the grand location. That alone speaks volumes about the judgment calls of the movie.

Its precisely because of idiots like this that the Grand Canyon and National Parks had to be protected from development. Put the kid in Guantanamo and everyone will confess without water-boarding.
----
As a modern woman, I found the ending of this movie extremely offensive. Why must a "man" represent the explorer scout so that he can graduate when his mother was clearly available to do the job? And, on top of that, why is a child being rewarded for leaving his mother without even telling her, to go off on some reckless adventure with a geezer who for all we know could be a registered sex offender?

I would not rent or purchase this film for my children, as I don't want them to grow up thinking this is (still) a man's world. Shame on Disney for continuing to issue propaganda of the submissive female. It's bad enough that The Womyn's Bible has not yet been accepted as the preferred translation.

The Arrogant One Strikes Again,

By The Seeker (New Jersey) - See all my reviews

I just recently gave this cd, or whatever it is, a listen and was amazed at the audacity of this man. While I agree with his take on the drug-induced 1960s, I was aghast at his pathetic lampooning of the Beatles-THE BEATLES. I feel that his mocking them might have a certain degree of validity had he been in the same musical league as John Lennon or Paul McCartney, but this clearly is not the case. It's interesting how so many praise this amateur as if he were the music world's second coming of Christ, when in fact, his music is so pathetically substandard.
