After seeing other's photos, I decided to dig out my Konica Autoreflex T 35mm Camera and go brush up on my skills. This is what happened.

This is an HDR image of a truck that sits outside of my house. Most of the pictures were over exposed, so I did a lot of crap to it to make it look decent.

With this one, I just kept changing things at random and I liked the outcome.

I hope you've enjoyed this presentation. Thank you.

Just think how much better these would be if I wasn't using a camera from 1973!

rtil

actually the quality of photos from older cameras and film can be pretty charming

Well, I don't mean the quality of the picture would be better, but I wouldn't have to waste 6 exposures on the same picture just so I'm sure I have an acceptable shot. That and I wouldn't have to worry about the price of film and development, etc. I'd be able to compose my photos much better, and at least be able to preview the end result.

Forgot about some of these old ones...

Testing Depth of field in this one.

Yes. I know. Nerd. GOI.

When I get them Developed, I save money and time by just getting digital copies. They come as jpgs. I might start using my scanner again to get higher resolution PNGs.

Thanks, I think that will actually help a lot.

The Good Ole Ant

no prob
i was wondering cuz the last batch you uploaded seem kinda pixelly

Digging up this old topic because I finally got a new camera!

It's not the best, but with my financial situation, it's better than using my Cellphone.

But first, I noticed there were a bunch I hadn't posted yet that I took with my old camera before I destroyed it.

And I honestly can't remember why I didn't...

I liked this one ^ so much that I had it put on my credit card.

One from my Cellphone.

New camera

Now, what can I do better?

Crabarms

If your using a digital camera and using the zoom feature, it may actually be best to take the picture and edit the part where you want focused.
I guess from what I've read is that its not a true zoom and it just crops it for you at the loss of quality.
Sorry if you already know this, sorta read into it a long time ago and figured you may be interested.

If you feel your picture is important to you, you may want to store it on another device which is in a safe place.
I lost 700 pictures from transferring files to another computer.

Take multiple pictures. Don't be afraid to snap from other angles.

The exit sign looks pretty neat.

Fuzz

The first 4 are film, and the others are digital. My camera has Optical zoom, so it actually does zoom. What you're thinking of is Digital Zoom which crops the pictures.

creamcorn

damn this made my browser freeze 58

Fuzz

Sorry Chicken! Maybe I'll start uploading smaller res photos to tba...

tmk

just resize them to forum friendly dimensions, if anyone is desperate to see them in hi-res they'll prob ask

Fuzz

I probably shouldn't take pictures while driving...
