Was it just a matter of time? Well, now it has happened:
Some guy in the US has been jailed for importing and owning mangas, depicting illustrations of child sex and bestiality.
A case that clearly shows how different the laws of two equally developed countries can still be nowadays... on the other hand; "wtf Japan".

Tolerated as a gray zone, there have never been any legal issues concerning fictional/drawn material of pornography or suggestively pornographic content featuring underaged characters yet. This case shows that the US laws (and those of many other countries as well) actually do prohibid this kind of "art", as many fans consider it and that you can actually be punished for just possessing it and may even be the beginning of a new kind of internet censorship.
