nah yo i really dont have a problem with that shit. pitchfork writes some really good reviews sometimes and they have pretty respectable lists. hating on pitchfork is kind of fuckin dumb as no one really can give an actual argument against it other than "pretentious hipster shit" etc which has to do more with the fanbase and culture that has been strengthened from it than anything else.
tbh ill read reviews there and check news and shit sometimes if i feel inclined but i dont care about half the shit there really so i dont often
also i dont like the new site design too much
but yeah i really wasnt trying to patronize you or some shit i was just wondering i guess sorry it was kind of rude and meaningless

well of course going out and making your own decisions on what music you like and dont like is what you should do, but you are just as capable doing so through going to a website that reviews music. you just have to listen to it for yourself and not rely on other people to have opinions for you.
also some people dont really have scenes in their area and dont know many people who they can share music with, so checking a website looking for recommendations is really something that benefits them

having said that, people are probably better off looking at smaller music blogs like wflm or sites where users can review as well like sputnikmusic to get a wider range of input

after 3 years of nothing, boris released 3 albums this year. all 3 are really different, all 3 have great album art, and some of them even share different versions of the same songs to suit the albums style. this wont be for everyone - even fans of boris' old drone stuff - but ive been enjoying these albums a lot so whatever i'll post em

genre: japanese rock/noise rock/pop/shoegaze/some metal influences

this is the heaviest of the 3, cool riffs, noisy, mostly male vocals. there was a completely different album called heavy rocks in 2002, and i think they wanted to continue the style of that
