interesting how i first found out about sigur ros , in 2005 i was listening to the radio late at night and one of their songs came on called njosnavelin. it was so calming it made me fall asleep. i emailed the dj the next dday to ask what the song was and that's how i found out.

i'd heard a lot of hype about them when i was in high school and generally ignored them for whatever reason, but then jseed recommended their album "agaetis byrjun" to me and i just loved it on first listen. they're really masters of making music that is not only calming/relaxing, but also unspeakably beautiful.
