abnormal not tryin to be condescending here but do you just get all your music off pitchfork
not accusing you either cuz i dont really have a problem with that but i am wondering

you do sound condescending but no, no i don't. i do visit the site but i found both of these bands completely detached from pitchfork. my friend showed me a spoon song a few years ago and i found girls while seeing what bands were playing at coachella when i went

At the same time i know what you mean and those two bands are pitchfork approved so i get it. i dont think yr being condescending but im so used to the internet being like PITCHFORK HEH LAMESTREAMER HIPSTER INDIE ALT HIPSTESR so it sounds that way from anyone

rtil

i'm kind of glad i don't know what pitchfork is

please try and keep it that way

Abnormal

a lot of people rtil has posted have been "p4k approved" so i don't see why that needs to be avoided

trent bortknob

the best thing to do is just not read pitchfork imo. instead, just talk to other people about music, or go out and see music in your area or something.

they have like some good bands and they laud some terrible bands. they're pretty inconsistent in their recommendations, the best thing to do is just avoid them. if anything.

Abnormal

i disagree, i'd at least check it out. reading music blogs like that revolves around yr taste, so if you hate all their bands then it probably wouldn't be the best idea, but especially if some bands you like line up you should at least view it. no doubt pitchfork is a pretentious place, but wherever you can find someone/someplace that has similar taste then give it a try

trent bortknob

nope. boycott pitchfork

Pants, the terrible

faroquet sounds a little grungy, but not enough for me to really get into it like soundgarden.

oh, and this:

Queens Of The Stone Age - Someone In The Wolf (Live)

your welcome.

trent bortknob

while i like queens of the stone age and the video you posted was cool, i do have to ask

what is the link between faraquet and soundgarden

Pants, the terrible

the last half of "superunknown" sounds ALOT like that video you posted. just a personal sound connotation i was leaning towards.

its not bad mind you, just not my style of incredible dischordant sound. it felt too.... led zepplin mixed with grunge to me... not sure if thats the right way to describe it.

here's a simpler way to describe it:

not exactly my bag, man.

your welcome.
