Sometimes when I draw in flash, I (have the tendency to) group my black outlines because this way coloring gets done faster without messing up with the black outline.

Sometimes, the drawback with this method is that once I WANT to break apart or ungroup that outline, flash fucks up the colors in certain parts of the drawing

kinda like this:

I think blordow had a similar problem.
is there a solution to this problem or an alternative way to solve it?

rtil

there is no solution

flash has been doing this for years

this happens to me when i just select then deselect lineart. sometimes it helps to lock the layer right after deselecting/breaking apart, then making a blank keyframe after it and going back to the frame to draw on.

i have no idea why it works but it works for me about 75% of the time.

easy to fix
make a new layer and paste the grouped outline on that
then slightly modify the shape of the coloring
put the grouped outline onto the same layer again, break it apart and then color in the slight modification you did again

It's an annoying problem that persists throughout the history of flash, it's unsolvable and it's stupid as hell, you have no idea how much drawings I have lost because of this.

Well when CS5 comes out this problem will probably be fixed and it will have an even shittier layout where only the lasso tool and the timeline are showing.
"Every night, I lie awake in my bed and think about Meg Griffin. I know it is wrong, to be obsessed with a television character but the urges keep coming no matter what I do. I sit at home and jack off every time I watch Family Guy. I cum every time Meg Griffin speaks. My balls hurt and I alienate my friends and family. It is just that Meg's sexy body and glasses are insatiable. I keep wishing that maybe there is a real Meg Griffin some where out there ready to suck my dick.
