been experimenting with custom sounds. i did get a little intro song to play when you join the server (it's only 10 seconds long). what i was really trying to do is replace in-game sounds. it seems really hit-or-miss, been on AM trying to figure out if it's really even possible. yes, they do have to be downloaded, but on average they're about 100kb, and you only have to download them once. i wanted to replace only a few - like domination and you win/lose. if i do figure it out, i think it would be fun and add a little personality to our server. but the way things are looking right now it might not be possible in some cases because a lot of sounds are played clientside and are hard-coded to stay that way. i don't know for sure though

i also installed server announcements and set it to broadcast our steam group every 15 minutes. i'm also going to try and figure out how to get rtv to show who's voting for what, should be pretty easy.

and if there are any requests for other sourcemod plugins i can install them as well

will be replacing rtv with votemap tonight or tomorrow. has a lot more flexibility than rtv.

this sounds like fun Id like to see if they actually make the game funnier instead of the gay DOMINATED, TRIPLE KILL etc sounds that become annoying after a minute of playing in random servers.

yeah quake sounds is gay. i wanted to make something more unique

jukebox has been upgraded to the latest version. should be a little faster

saysounds installed but doesn't play the sounds on its own although they are there. there are 5 or 6 small mp3's you will download when entering the server. they're just there to test at the moment

votemap installed as well. didn't really get to test it so let me know how it works

ok thanks. i actually deleted votemap i couldn't get it to work and i was reading into it and it hasn't been updated since january 2009, so rtv is actually better. so we'll stick with rtv. changed it back to change the map on vote finish
