Comic Con 09

This threads pretty much a common questionnaire. Are you going and if so what is it your looking forward to see this year?

For sure I'm going (After all the money I spent on tickets, air fair, and a hotel for me and my girlfriend if I didn't go I'd kick myself in the balls, the financial balls.) But there's not much that really peeked my interest besides just trekking around the con. However if we're surprised by another Sock Baby from Doug TenNapel like last year then by god this con will be fulfilling for me. Plus the Thurop Comedy Panel, Jeff Smith, and a quick little visit to the Newgrounds booth to meet up with some friends. I'm pretty sure the fun stuff will happen after hours on the con though.

If anyone else is going is there anything else in the con you're looking forward to see?

Pfft no. The only possible way you can sneak in is if someone who was working a booth gave you a Assist Badge, or if you knew a celebrity who could sneak you in at the last minute and bribe the staff to let you in.

one way is to wait for 2 people to go in, have them both go in the bathroom or somewhere so they arent hidden and have one of them take off their badge, have that one person with both badges come outside and hand it to the person waiting out there. You just have to be wearing some kind of lanyard so you dont seem suspicious.

i never know what's going on until i get there and get a schedule. i'm already sneaking in one person (every day) so i'm not interested in sneaking more people in. anyway i'm 99% sure i'll be there and i'm excited for this year although it's going to be even more crowded than last year which i have trouble imagining.

Atleast you don't have to fend your cosplaying girlfriend off from creepoids. I'm still afraid that guy who cosplays as Jaba the Hutt shows up again. You heard the story with him right? They payed him to sit at the Star Wars booth in the Hutt set piece with some chick they doubled in to play as Leya. *shiver*

Here here, but she likes doing it so Ill let her roll with it, besides one day she's going as Quote. I bet 96% of the people there wont know who she is that day.

hey chriszito did you here the story about how thuberbaer and I stole some jerkoff cops megaphone and started running around the con shouting genndy tartakovsys name out of it yea I think sneaking in there must be impossible I mean theres just too many people I doubt anyone would be able to get away with anything

Apparantly last year was so crowded that it was a Fire Hazard. Sounds like this year, if you don't get there early enough, once they cap a certain amount of people that go into the building, regardless of if you have a badge or not, they won't even let you in.
