ok so I was sketching fbf shit when something really fucking odd happened.

I must have turned some rarely used option on because now when I draw something in an enclosed shape, or have a few lines cross so they close in a shape, suddenly it gets filled.  But the wierdest part is, I cannot erase this fill unless I start the erasing outside the shape and take part of the outline with it.  And, I can select the fill only when dragging my cursor, but when I move it, the original space stays.  When I try to delete the selection, it reappears where it was.  When I deselect without moving it, the space it occupied turns white, and that white space becomes selectable.  And the worst part is if I undo too far, the entire frame dissappears.

And its only in the frame I'm working on.

Try drawing the next frame but with the illusion of the same mistake caused by the bug in flash. It might even be possible to make a cooler looking movie because of it.

flash's drawing tools are fucking broken a lot of the time, but if you really want confusion and anger, try and use the pixel tools extension. there are so many bizarre little bugs with placing pixels, and undoing anything takes multiple steps of shittiness which I cannot explain

The single most important thing they fixed in CS3 was the bug that didn't let you draw correctly in reversed movieclips. in 8, if you were in a flipped movieclip and drew an outline enclosing empty space, the line would disappear and the enclosed space would fill with that color. very frustrating, very VERY irritating when doing game art. They still haven't fixed the line tool shit in movieclips, though. Ugh ugh UGH WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP PAYING MONEY FOR THIS SHIT

yea its a shitty program overloaded with extraneous features and flawed core tools but its the best of the worst

Oh, are you drawing in a symbol? If so, did you go into the symbol by clicking on it while on the stage? If so, just go to the symbol IN the library and problem will hopefully be solved. If that's not what happened then sorry for wasting your time. :P

fuck yes.

Sometimes when you want to erase a single pixel it starts erasing all pixels of the same color that are nearby it or does some random ass thing.
its like it makes a diferent never before seen error everytime.
