Hmm, you're right, that is pretty much how it goes.  I hate formulas.  Thanks for making me aware of it.

From what I've seen, general consus is that the minis are funnier.  Now to figure out why (I imagine delivery has something to do with that).

well, not all webcomics have to be funny. some comics are great and interesting because they have really cool art or compelling stories or something. maybe you should try taking your comic in a different direction :/
regardless, i think you should change your drawing style. it's kind of boring. sometimes drawings can enhance the comic's humor.  u should try some different stuff because what you have right now isnt really working. i think it has some potential tho

I would much rather keep the comic as a humorous comic and instead try to (hopefully) get it to be funny.

I think the main problem with my style right now is that I'm mostly just doing stock poses and whatnot.  I'll have to switch it up and do some different things with it and make it less of a guys-just standing-there-with-their-arms-doing-things art style but have them doing more dynamic poses and not stand at the exact same angle.  I kinda started this comic to work on my art in the first place, but as I've found out, the artwork is just one of the many things I need to work on.
I'm learning all I can from this.

i think too many people are making comics about college-age kids 'doing stuff' (same with flash series and whatnot) which is why you're getting a bitter reaction (aside from the writing which is going for this 'unexpected punchline' thing). the chess one would have been funny without the last two panels slapped onto it.

take out the ha's when he hits the car windshield, you dont need text in every panel

Maybe one day I can have both the full comic and the mini be funny.  Seems like it's always one is funny and the other isn't.
