post any bands that are ambient or in that general genre... theres too many subgenres

i just love listening to this kinda music wilst animating at 1 in the morning
ill start by listing off a few

boards of canada
mogwai
dntel
grandaddy
do make say think
up-c down-c left-c right-c abc+start
explosions in the sky (post rock/ambient) <-- jesus christ these guys make my ears cum
godspeed you! black emperor - again pretty heavy at times
sigur ros

what about the guy that was the first to release music under that name, Brian Eno?

albums I recommend:
Fripp & Eno - No Pussyfooting
Robert Fripp - The Gates of Heaven

and all other works by those artists (fripp, eno & their collaborations)

i used to like sigur ros but now they really annoy the shit out of me

anyway check out flying saucer attack

also i dunno if sigur ros is the \\\'epitome\\\' of the genre they just happen to be the most popular

if i wanted to listen to nothing happen for half an hour i would go outside and listen to the fucking birds chirp, at least id get some fresh air instead of having to put myself through the bullshit genre that is "post-rock"
