lol

It's a tree scene and It's a very early draft at that.  I'm thinking of making a pretty decent traditional scene and that is one of the many "notes" i'll make when i try to create it.   It will probable take some trial and error to actually get it down to the way I want it.   I'll also be doing some research about trees and outdoorsy stuff on the computer and at my local library.   there will also be times where i'll go outside and sketch the scenery.

Even with all that sketching, I won't be done there.   I'll also have to learn how to color/paint effectively.   Once again, I'll have to go on the computer and the library to research color theory and what not.   I think that, like drawing, going outside could be a good opprotunity to learn how to color treese and foliage/learn shading.

Ill have to work hard if i want this to be what I plan it to be, but hard work is a part of life, I suppose.

I think it's better to just wait and upload the finished piece.
I mean, it's a sketch, so uh... What feedback can you give? "Too sketchy"?

since flashfirer isnt rude enough to say it, i will

i hope this is a joke

otherwise you have more work to do than any artist ive seen in this forum so far

i mean really, firstly throw away that abomination of a sketch. it doesnt even work as a rough sketch for later reference, its that fuckin bad. next, retake first grade art class. i mean it. then maybe once you've mastered holding your pencil you can move on to the myriad of elements absent from it, everything from shading to perspective.

if that sounds really mean and your confidence was crushed by it, GOOD. you need to hear that this sucks because it does. learn the basic principles of art before you try to make something fancy like a landscape. i repeat, dont even start this until you've taken the lowest level of art classes you can take, because its obvious to me you havent taken anything

Hmmm its very early days but that in a way also gives you a lot of freedom!

My advice? Don't go for anything yet.

Just draw like fucking crazy

Draw everything, practice everything, draw draw draw draw

Draw anything that interests you

Get to know form and colours and composition

Draw your friends fighting each other

Draw draw draw draw draw draw draw draw draw draw draw

Fill up a sketchbook a week

And keep pushing yourself to your current limits

Just fackin' doodle

Quote from: BuckTHANK YOU
no problem

and yea do some of the stuff jseed mentioned as well

practice does pay off in this case, you do need some level of talent to draw really well but you can also just as easily teach yourself to draw certain styles. work on mimicking the look of other artists maybe for a start just to get an idea of how to draw.
