Korean MMO Mediocrity

I have in my day tried many Korean MMO's because many are either free or very cheap. I see pop up advertisements on many of the anime sites that I visit. But it seems that no matter which of them I try, they are all poorly designed, and or extremely boring and pointless. Some feature bad translations or glitches, I remember getting stuck within the first 10 minutes of one of them and not being able to get out even after logging out. Fiesta, Maple Story, Archlord. Fly FF,  Rappelz, Granado Espada and probably half a dozen others whos name I can't even remember they were so boring. (or so identical to each other its hard to tell them apart). But wither a 2D sprite MMO or a full 3D DX9 MMO, if its Korean its bound to be bland.

I've got the point to where I wonder sometimes why I bother, but its just boredom I suppose when I see the banners floating around im always tempted despite the fact I know ill probably be wasting bandwidth. If your going to develop a MMO you shouldn't have ass it.

Sorry if it seems like im ranting, but with all these trashy half bait Korean MMOs flooding onto the market it makes it hard to find the good ones. I suppose the only way to really do that is to stick to American and Japanese made MMO's.

I love playing Starcraft. Sure, it wasn't made in Korea, but it's insanely popular there...

I used to be the same way till I gave up hope for an MMO that wasn't ruined by a some sort of shop with items and features that you have to pay real money for.

It feels like I'm being treated like a third-rate citizen if I don't want to buy the super duper premium membership and honestly, if I'm not getting something high-quality like world of warcraft then I'm not paying for it.

Though honestly my MMO roving days are over now more because I have a computer that refuses to download them without crashing.
