So Im trying to make blood in photoshop, but I feeel like this is toooo plasticky...yeah.
Do any of you know how to add splatters or speckles of blood?
Also what can I do to make this better or more BLOOD like?

1. never use a gray background
2. never use the "plastic wrap" filter that you're using here, and try to avoid filters in general
3. for blood, use scattering, hard edges and a darker red. be more sporadic in your strokes
4. don't use the smudge tool for blood. and if you do, harden out the edges later. blood never has a soft edge to it unless it's dried, which in that case this blood looks too fresh to be dry due to its saturated red
5. using the same methods for the eraser that i mentioned with the brush (scattering, hard edge) around your blood can also give a cool effect as well
6. there are hundreds of downloadable brushes for photoshop online. if you'd rather use those than create your own you can find them easily through google

never use the smudge tool at all ^^

doesnt give a good rendering.

i know some artists who work very well with it, but i would never recommend it to amateurs.
