yep
i'm really sorry about all my stupidity on this forum.
i didn't know what i was talking about and was an asshole.
so i take back all of this as it no longer represents me.
i was unable to remove the posts in the locked threads.

so today I saw Inglourious Basterds and District 9

i loved IB but the trailers are kind of misleading, it's only half about the basterds themselves and is actually mostly tense dialogue scenes interrupted with sudden, horrific violence. it was still great, but when a trailer promises me a movie about running around france beating natzee skulls in that's what i expect to see

d9 was also pretty good but it kind of lost its direction and the whole documentary-style shooting wore out its welcome pretty fast, IMO

Quote from: callahanyeah i love inglorious basterds but i really would have loved to see like a four hour version with the kind of things i expected and some gay basterd murdering action
i mean most of the basterds only got like 1 line

yeah for real

i love bj novak but he only spoke like twice

that's like the k-19 widowmaker trailers made it seem like a high tension underseas action movie but it was really wasn't

still good though

I got the pleasure of seeing Quentin Tarintino's new film, Inglourious Basterds today. I gotta say, I really liked it. It was pretty out there for a nazi movie, to the point of altering the course of history. Uh,
like them brutally killing Hitler in a fury of machine gun ammo and in a burning, then exploding movie theater
, cough cough. That's all I'll say about that, but it had plenty of ridiculously-violent killing (and scalping) which is a staple of Quentin Tarintino's work. Even though the movie builds veryyy slowly in it's 2.5 hour length, it never gets boring surprisingly enough. There's just enough tension between characters to keep it really interesting. Anyway, it might not be a liot of people's cup-of-tea, but I freaking liked it!

i hate that hollywood made this movie look like a standard fucking blockbuster action movie FUCK HOLLYWOOD

in actuality you never actually see why the earth is the post apocalyptic mess that it is in the novel

why couldn\'t they make the trailer for this movie cool like the trailer for no coutnry for old men was

im sure the trailer is misleading like most movies and that hte movie will be good or better but right now the trailer made it look like a big heaping piece of shit

QuoteFrom what we have seen, we are amazed by the visual similarities between the two films and we are reviewing what legal options may be available to us. Delgo is an independent film that took over a decade from conception to release. The initial proof-of-concept was available on Delgo.com in 1998 with work-in-progress from the feature production accessible via the website's Digital Dailies since 2000. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Avatar began production in 2006 after a rewrite of the script.

i am only amazed by the fact that avatar managed to make something uglier than delgo

the future DEPENDS ON US

i was expecting a lot from avatar. like another Matrix or something

when i saw the trailer i was shocked at how something nearly two decades in development could be so generic and uninteresting (not to mention done a million times before)

cameron said he was waiting for the technology to be available to tell his story? then why does it look like avatar was made circa 1999?
