looks good, i wouldnt have thought wes anderson\'s style could come across so well in stop motion

however the animation quality honestly leaves much to be desired... if only henry selick hadnt left to direct coraline

i´ve heard a rumors about a Movie of Captain America

2010 or 2011 is when it gets out i think.

I'm also looking forward to Sylvester Stallone's new movie The Expendables. It'll be out in April 2010 I think. A lot of big names like schwarzenegger will be in the movie, and it's supposed to be like these old action movies (terminator etc.)

I also just finished watching Ponyo. The movie is really great. Sadly it kind of lacks a climax in my opinion and it's really weird to me that nobody in the movie is creeped the fuck out by Ponyo. They just 'accept' it.

Oh well, nevertheless, great movie.

I also just got the Hannibal Pentalogy. I watched Silence of the Lambs first, cause I thought it was the first movie though.

saw ponyo tonight!

the theater was packed..at 9:30PM. the audience consisted almost entirely of adults, almost no kids. that was pretty cool, considering district 9 is stealing the show this weekend.

some good news they DON\\\'T use that horrible autotuned pop song we discovered this week. the credits song is almost identical to the japanese version besides the language, and the movie has its original score intact. the english dub is also well done. some of the dialogue is too "awkward" for english audiences, but kids won\\\'t care. it\\\'s definitely in the spirit of more child-like ghibli films, a simple and light hearted story. i was smiling the whole time. even if you\\\'ve already seen it/pirated it, go see it in the theaters and support it. otherwise we may not see another ghibli movie with such a wide theater release ever again.

oh, and of course the animation/layouts/colors were amazing but that goes without saying. i can\\\'t believe some of the stuff they animated in the underwater scenes, so much going on it was insane. i got the impression the audience was a little starstruck by the complexity in such a simple film. most people have that idea in their heads that 2D is old and irrelevant, i hope ponyo changed their minds.
