you know, it IS Hitler's B-day, but that has nothing to do with why people smoke pot on that day, It is widely accepted that in 1971, a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California, calling themselves "The Waldos", used to meet every day after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke marijuana at the Louis Pasteur statue. The term became part of their group's salute, "420 Louis," and it eventually caught on more widely. Many cannabis users continue to observe 4:20 as a time to smoke communally. By extension April 20 ("4/20" in U.S. dating shorthand) has evolved into a counterculture holiday, where people gather to celebrate and consume cannabis.

and theres nothing wrong with smoking pot, but now that all theses douche bag gangbangers from the "hood" (mostly white douche bags from residential neighborhoods) smoke pot it's become part of that "culture" and thats stretching the term. most of the people that i know personally that do it, are totally normal people, you'd never know they did it.

regardless of whether smoking weed is harmless or not, everyone i know who is a pothead is extremely lazy and typically smell bad, because, well, they're usually smoking weed instead of being productive. a waste of space if you ask me.

a lot of people say they do it to relieve stress. same goes for cigarettes, drinking, or any sort of substance abuse. i call bullshit. i work ten times harder than all those people and i don't have any method of relieving or drowning out stress. i don't even drink caffeine. you learn to deal with it on your own instead of rely on a plant or chemical, that's weak.

besides, those people are more stressed out anyway because they spend too much time with their beloved smoke or drink instead of doing what they should be doing.

relieving stress isn't the reason they're doing it, they just say that as a cop out bullshit reason as to why they shouldn't stop doing because they don't have a better reason

but I'm pretty indifferent to pot smokers, since most of my intelligent friends (the small amount I have) smoke pot so I'm not going to say weed is terrible or gay, but I don't do it

thats total shit, all of you. you have no idea what it's like to really need something like a drug, are any or your parents divorced? and does the one you live with drunkly knock you from room to room several times a week, and do you live there because thats the BETTER alternative, is your dad a coke dealer, your mom a total slut/psycho bitch, and there all on hard drugs all of the time? non of you have ANY idea what it's like to really need that, and so what if theres alternatives, theres not a lot anyone can do when they're depressed, pissed off, and confused all the time, so ya made they're doing drugs, but fuck, thats better than them jumping off of buildings in my opinion.

Also, wikipedia rocks, don't relate things that have nothing to do with each other.

this excludes Taylor for once...

i'm talking about the majority of pot smokers who are well off suburban kids with nothing to complain about.

i'm not quite sure where you figured i implied in my post that kids with abusive drug addict parents that beat them up on a daily basis are to blame for being raised in an environment like that.

i've lived in the suburbs my entire life. of course i'm talking about suburbia.

well that makes sence, alot of stupid kids use drugs as a way to be "cool" but they just look stupid.

and i was not using wikipedia in order to make myself look more intelligent, if i wanted to do that, i would have changed it in vary little ways, to make it look original.

I didnt smoke, drink or do drugs until I turned 18 because I didnt want it to affect my emotional growth and give me a mental dependence. I used to be real uppity about not doing it saying that I didnt need drugs to have fun and that everybody around me was just giving into peer pressure and I was right for the most part but I feel weird thinking about that now
