so as many of you may know good 'ole wonchoppy animated akira the don's latest music video. zef in the past has been the one that does this. well, earlier today zef wrote a review for wonchop's cartoon:

Yo choppy. I'm a lil dissapointed at the responses you've been writing brother. I didnt have time or the want to animate this thing. And if you had a problem with that you should have let me know. Bitching behind my back about minus 100 tweens and saying i was whining is pretty damn low. I havn't been bitching about you, i've supported you and the video. I was the guy that hooked you up with akira if you recall! Congratulations on your awards.

wonchop had actually been putting down zef in his review responses after zef had hooked him up with the job.

do you all hate someone so much that, you can't even acknowledge when that person has done a relitivly good job of something. well, thats just sad. Having had no past experiences with wonchop, i really have nothing bad to say about him aside from a lot of his work sucks.

Of course he got money. It was also supposed to get shown on TV (although I have yet to hear about the TV appearance).

Personally I think that too many parts were sloppy, especially considering it was supposed to be made for TV.

Chop's attitude really does surprise me at times. He can't expect to talk negatively about someone on the internet, and then expect them not to find out, and then trying to cover his tracks with 'I was joking' is kinda cowardly.

Wonchop has always been lame. His humor is really REALLY dry and cheesy. Dry cheese. Not to mention I'm not a fan of strictly tweened animations. And his anime approach to things is pretty goofy too.

It's true though, Wonchop was commissioned from the start to make the video to be shown on MTV.

I'm surprised then that Akira accepted Wonchop for the commission. I, personally, would shoot for a little more high-brow animation and someone with a better sense of writing than Wonchop. But then again, not surprising, there is a lot of garbage animation on TV (see saturday/sunday morning children's cartoons). So, I could picture it on TV based on that, but I'd be a little shocked to see it there. Especially some major broadcast network. But Akira is not a huge band, so I doubt their showtime would ever make it out of the UK.

But his shit is meant to be crappy. Like Brad Neely's stuff, it serves a purpose. Neely's been on television multiple times promoting Super Deluxe. His shit is hilarious though.
