I saw a commercial saying Adult Swim had a new anime, and looked around on the net. After about 30 seconds I found out it's called 'Guardian of the Sacred Spirit', and it looks fantastic. I watched the pilot episode on Veoh HERE and the animation is just about feature length movie quality. The story seems okay, but nothing spectacularly different, however, the animation and art direction is great. People who like anime, just watch the first 5 minutes, you won't regret it.

oh so you mean they are airing another show made by japanese people instead of just making something of quality on their own. Metalocalypse is probably their best in-house show. I'm kind of sad Korgoth didn't go anywhere. Other than that umm! Fuck Adult Swim.

animation and backgrounds were fantastic . too bad the character designs are pretty forgettable. and lmao at the name 'balsa'. i can't take her seriously when she's named after crappy wood

The one thing I dislike about watching anime  ONLINE that isn't in English is that it isn't in English. Reading the subtitles completely detracts from the animation. It's hard to read and take in the pictures at the same time. They might as well have a giant text wall with some music playing.

I actually agree and I stopped watching the pilot after I fast forwarded to the 5th minute, seems to be extremely boring.

Had a ton of time to kill and watched the first 18 episodes. The fights are SICK, but they're really far apart and the storytelling's kid of slow. But I like the cartoon okay, I guess I'm curious about what happens next. I'll probably just skip to the end.
