directions (open to change or interpretation):
character animators must:
- post a picture of their character for approval before animating
- use animation that at least partially mimics the real world and a nighttime urban environment
- time the animation to the song and try to match its mood
- at the end of their part, include a transition from the real world to the inside of the character's mind.
- work together with their mind animator and animators of other parts to keep things somewhat consistent.
mind animators must:
- use animation that is experimental, i.e. not directly mimicking the real world, to visually interpret the thoughts of the characters
- time the animation to the song and try to match its mood
- at the end of their part, include a transition from inside of the character's mind to the real world
- work together with their character animator and animators of other parts to keep things somewhat consistent
animators of both must:
- download and use both the character and mind MP3s in their part
- follow all other directions above

basically this will be a joint effort. parts will transition from one to the other smoothly. mind parts must be at least somewhat based on the character parts they are paired with. everyone can start animating, but leave a few seconds blank at the beginning so you can animate a transition there later

we are saving the opening and closing sequences for last. we'll all pitch in on them, we'll have some huge fuckin creature with a tiny piece of all of our characters in one big greusome blob

say, after we are done with the whole mind sequence for our part, we just leave it blank?

also i know its not like thisll get done in the next week anyway but im not getting a new pc for another week or so and thus cant use flash till then

what version are we using? I dont know if there are even compatibility issues with Cs3 and 8 or not but just wondering

you do the zoom in, the mind sequence, and the zoom out

then you pass the fla

the next person can cut to a different environment and character entirely, or they can just tween the character from the part before them off screen and pan towards their character

Also I think it'd be cool if we could animate other peoples creations instead in our own styles but we should make sure its alright with the person who created it first!
