mmofps? this is new to me. the gun looks alright, a little bland as far as textures go but i'm sure the game has its limitations. the yellow stuff coming out of the gun which i'm assuming is supposed to be gunfire i would just get rid of at least in this render, it looks more like gatorade than gunfire.

thats a light, the barrel is just above it, and I'm trying to get better at this, besides it's all just a work in progress.

oh, that's a light? probably the solid black line around it needs to go, then. and soften the edges around it. can that be done? then it might look like a light.

Um, sorry dagolith, I wasn't trying to make fun of you, I was trying to help. Sorry if I sounded that way. It's just that light emissions do not produce solid linework around them because they're not objects. If you put solid lines around light emission it looks like something you can actually pick up or has weight.

Anyway, that render is nice. It would be cool if it had some tones. Does the software produce shadows?

ha ha! my power grows with every creation![attachment=17:attachment][attachment=18:attachment]
this one wasn't done with podium, i just used the camera function. (in podium, the image needs to be a certain length away, or else it looses sections of the image. one of the "bugs")

never heard of podium. i use 3ds max, mostly because i have to.

Dagolith

well, podium is a plug in for a 3D design program "Sketch up 5 pro" although i just downloaded the trial, and looked up a serial code for it (pfffft like i'm gonna pay $500+ for a hobby) so it was free.

what i really like about this program is that i can make some pretty good renders, in next to no time
