I feel your pain.

I was coming home from a friend's house today, and as I got out of the car I turned off my iPod and put it in my bag like I always do when leaving the car... well apparently I somehow forgot to disconnect the little cable that runs to my car stereo because as I slammed the car door I realized it wasn't shutting all the way... and I looked down closely (it was very dark outside at this time of night) only to see the iPod with a huge dent right through the back of it and now the screen is all messed up.     What SUCKS even more is that this is the second one I'm going to lose because my first one got stolen a few months ago. I'm an idiot.

Just crack the case open, grab the HDD and hook it up internally. It's not that hard at all unless you already have multiple HDD or you're using a laptop.

the last laptop I had ran windows 95. the hard drive filled up and got fucked somehow so I had to restart every two minutes.

but yeah, buying cheap things is probably a good idea. the mp3 player I have now was $30 from Staples and it works better than the $80-$200 things I've had before. my first one was a 256mb muvo tx that actually lasted about two years before it broke. I got a zen nano a few months after I got the first one, and it got fucked almost immediately. for some reason it decided to turn itself off every five minutes. then I got an ipod nano which stopped working after about a week. the computer didn't recognize it, and it wouldn't charge. (I think) I sent it back and got another one which I lost. then I got a FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT 8gb sansa video ultra-expensive pile of trash that stopped being recognized by the computer after a while so I couldn't add or delete mp3s (of course, right after some faggot filled it with DDR bullshit), randomly corrupted files, locked up constantly, refused to charge most of the time, and generally didn't work.

i got some creative muvo v100 2gig thing, cheapest they had and it KICKS ASS ive like dropped it on the floor from like 6 feet a hundred times and its barely even scratched its as sturdy as my old nokia 3210 cellphone FUCK YOUR IPOD SHIT HA HA

it only cost $999 when i bought it with a 2gb stick of ram so right now it has 3 gb of ram, a 2.2 ghz core 2 duo and a radeon hd 2600

basically it is very good to work with, plays most of my games maxed out (crysis on medium) but the only downside is the screen is only 14" (which is an upside for me because I need to carry it to class every day) so the max resolution on the screen is 1280x800 which is kind of ass

oh also it doesn't turn on anymore so that's bad too
