I'm confused I really don't know what the point of this was but yes I did say working 6 months on a Metal Gear flash is retarded because it is. The purpose of MGA was to tell jokes and I don't need to make sure every frame is a Matisse in order to do that effectively unless it was part of the joke. Had I been working on something where the focus was the visuals being incredible of course I'd put a lot of time into it.

Saying "because it is," is not really a valid claim unless you back it up with more Ego. What defines the "purpose" is yes, ultimately up to you, but you're a big role model for these kids. I for one believe that hard work and pushing your limit beyond can really help. It really is exciting.  Beyond that, I wasn't trashing your animation. I think its a piece of shit, but I wasn't trashing it.

I see kids work harder than you'd ever dream, beautiful pieces of art, hours upon hours. But you know what, they love it, its fun.

A few minutes of poorly animated garbage calling it a joke, really makes me wonder. It wasn't just that you made MGA but you made MORE and MORE and MORE, never doing much else than adding a few simple animating character gestures, with simple made-in-a-few-seconds backgrounds. You're degrading yourself and everyone else now. If its a joke animation? Hey GREAT, haha yea it looks like crap, good joke. HAHA... See NOW I'm trashing it.

Doing a few minutes of poorly done animation isn't really something to be proud of. Your work is easily imitated as we've seen from Han's lovely piece. Time isn't really a factor, but 6 months of hard work on a flash, I see that as commendable, honorable, and worthy of the final outcome.

Ego you're living up to your stereotype. Please stop it. You don't need to go all anal over the web searching for anything negative just because one person disagrees with your beliefs.
