I was flying into Heathrow on a school trip in May 01, and I had scissors in my carry-on that I forgot about. It was just my school bag with some shit changed up. I made it through the Amsterdam check fine, but when I was disembarking in London that had a "we'll check you after the plane for some reason" metal detector and it went off. I was held in detention for like 3 hours.

Apparently my rich olive skin from my Italian heritage made me look like a sand anigen.
