A Scanner Darkly is a good movie. I recommend it. It was in the theaters a few months ago and has long since been replaced by newer, shinier movies. Your best bet would be to look for it on DVD in the coming months.

Not suprising on this one, but my favorite movie is So I Married an Axe Murderer.  brilliant movie.  everyone must see it once.

The Truman Show has been a long time standing fave of mine ... I have lots of others but that one is usually my #1. Eternal Sunshine, Lily Chou Chou, and Spirited Away are some others.

It's set in a futuristic society where everyone is monitored by everyone else and there is a mysterious drug called Substance D (I think that's what it's called). There are two kinds of people, those who are addicted to D and those who haven't tried it yet. It makes a lot of twists and turns and you're not quite sure what is going on until the "a-ha!" moment at the end. Though, I'll have to watch it again to make sure I understood the message of the movie.

Depends on the mood.  The Fifth Element for futuristic fun (aside from SW3's first 10 mins in space above Corusant), but I do like a whole range of other stuff like The Shawshank Redemption and even Zoolander for a good laugh.  (Hercules Returns especially for it's Aussie humour.)  Indiana Jones' Trilogy is also pretty good, and I've always loved the Back to the Future set.  The Incredibles is definitely one of the best animated, and Finding Nemo is a close second at that.  The Polar Express is cool too for the Christmas theme.  And Batman Begins.  Best comic hero movie in a long time.  I love the soundtrack in it most.

I would write more, but it's nearing 4am. XD

Fog of war was pretty good, but documentarys aren't great for thrills.
